  1. Wrestling wild cards @vinipereira +1 +1 +1 +1 +1 +1
  2. Swimming team sizes so far. +36 +35 +21 +17 +16 +5 +4 Any others I am missing?
  3. is refusing to play the return leg in
  4. Canada's fencing team was announced Article says A team, but the top 3 world ranked fencers were not selected for most of the events. Also a 13 year old was named to the women's foil team, mind you the defending Pan American Games Champions. If they repeat that here, what an accomplishment for someone that young!
  5. Unfortunately Moreno is out due to injury and won't compete in Lima. @mrv86
  6. So did apparently get a wild card in rowing. Not 100% on this one though...
  7. Pretty much every athlete who competed qualified + 2 countries getting additional quotas. It would be hard to justify additional quotas.
  8. Canoe sprint quotas, Doesn't tell us how many athletes per country...
  9. So CPJ confirmed host quotas are not reallocated...
  10. will use all quotas earned. In 2016, Canada declined a couple quotas. Source
  11. did decline its spot in +78 kg women's judo. That means the spot will be reallocated to
  12. This means qualifies for Lima 2019, becoming the 12th nation to qualify in the sport.
  13. Someone close to retirement and not really a medal contender but has had past success. So I would have to pick Antoine Valois Fortier - Judo.
  14. Canada's team should be around 500 athletes (488 currently simulated).
  15. Surprisingly Canada has followed PanamSports standards. Literally all the events minus a couple have 2 qualified in each. The strict quotas per event will lead to small countries with 1-2 entries each. I am predicting will have the smallest team in Lima, with 3 total (1 athletics, 2 in swimming). Their female weightlifter is in "negotiations" to join the team as well.
  16. The athletics qualification system is going to lead to another mess like in Toronto 2015. Toronto 2015 was only given a quota of 680, the same amount of entries as in Guadalajara 2011. PASO failed to realize 2015 was being held at a more friendly time during the year (which would increase entries). A total of 1100 athletes qualified to enter and not all could compete due to the quota. In 2019, same scenario. 740 quotas given, with countries allowed to enter relay specific athletes, however the entry quota per event equals the maximum quota. So we are likely to end up with more athletes entered then quotas.
  17. I am not sure. But Tuesday it will be released on COPAC website. @mrv86 No new countries got quotas. Only 18 qualified in sprint.
  18. and received sprint quotas due to VISA problems entering in 2018 for Pan Am Championships. received an additional spot. 2015's smallest team is now officially up to 5 quotas (1 in body building, 3 in canoeing and 1 in triathlon). With two in athletes likely and two possibly in women's road cycling, they have tripled their team from 4 years ago.
  19. I can see why skateboarding was dropped from Lima 2019 now...
  20. will likely decline +78 giving the spot to :TRI. Which means misses out on two quotas by one spot each.
  21. did qualify in judo, in the 73 kg for men.
  22. Looks like Canada will send its A team in track and field. Only 2-3 big names haven't declared yet. Here is the tracker:https://athletics.ca/tracking-lists/?id=38
  23. The two time defending champions may have something to say about that.
