  1. Was looking at B standard swimmers: Mack Darragh is 3rd in the rankings of non-qualified swimmers in the 200m butterfly. 5 qualified through the OST in Rio. Eli Wall is 6th in the 200m breaststroke. 4 qualified in Rio.
  2. So much for their quota limit!! Every part of Agenda 2020 being refuted. What a failure.
  3. So each country according to the IOC must send at least one female athlete (I am sure they do not care if its just females), so what will they do for the nations with just a male athlete awarded in athletics? For ex. Tuvalu? I don't think they have any athlete capable in any other sport.
  4. Bellio was getting on the team regardless because she had the A standard.
  5. Hayden probably doesn't have more than one swim in the 100 in him. I don't think they view this as a medal chance.... so they will take the final if they can get it.
  6. Acevado must be a relay only swimmer (4x100 free and medley) Andison must be because Wog has scratched the 200im Mary-Sophie Harvey must be a 4x200 relay swimmer Smith must be the medley relay only swimmer.
  7. Wow named 3-4 swimmers not expected to the team. The official team will come shortly
  8. With the end of swimming trials, we begin with athletics on Friday. Events with Olympic ramifications to look out for Friday: 400m hurdles women: Noelle Montcalm, with a SB and win will move into 38th in the WR (top 40 qualify) Men's decathlon: Taylor Ehrhardt begins his comeback, with a lot of injuries the last few years. Will need a 600+ PB to get the standard to qualify. 400m men: Osei/Misner Daley need the standard to qualify, both off by just over half a second 100m women: Bingham needs the standard atp to qualify. She is just 0.01 off from her SB 100m men: Whoever wants to make the team needs the standard. Smellie is currently in a WR spot, the other two De Grasse/Boateng not competing. Long jump men: Jared Kerr is back, 8.14 PB, will need 8.22 to qualify 800w: Butterworth/Bishop/Kelly need good times (2:00) or less and a top 3 finish to clinch a spot Women's steeplechase: Yee/Butterworth with a top 3 finish and timings around their PB (9:31) should get them a WR spot, but they should honestly go for the standard to guarantee their spots.
  9. Just realized he is competing for not
  10. The issue with this is they have to be invited by Fina....looking at the 2016 lists...not many were. 2020 has less quotas and universality is not capped like it was in 2016. I highly doubt it sadly.
  11. A lot of swimmers are getting multiple races. The men that didn't make it are relatively young too... hoping they can develop like the women
  12. The men will likely just have 8 Swimmers in Tokyo: Hayden, Gaziev, Kisil, Liendo, Knox, Mastrematteo, Pratt and Thormeyer The women will likely have 12 swimmers: Sanchez, Cieplucha, Masse, Macneil, Savard, McIntosh, Oleksiak, Wog, Pickrem, Ruck, Bellio, R. Smith (likely for the 4x200). For the women, all of those swimmers have an individual race, except Smith, so someone like Nicol for the breaststroke might be named to lighten the load on Wog.
  13. Why does have 3 listed for jumping? Edit: NVM
  14. Overholt has scratched the 400im, meaning she won;t be going to Tokyo, unless someone else doesn't hit the standard tonight.
  15. So much for CBC hyping Brent as the oldest swimmer
  16. For a team struggling to score goals:
  17. Looks like Fina has updated it as of today: https://www.fina.org/competitions/tokyo-2020-diving-info/
  18. Team Canada GK- Stephanie Labbé | SWE / FC Rosengård GK- Kailen Sheridan | USA / NJ/NY Gotham FC CB- Kadeisha Buchanan | FRA / FCF Olympique Lyonnais CB- Vanessa Gilles | FRA / FC Girondins de Bordeaux CB- Shelina Zadorsky | ENG / Tottenham Hotspur FB- Allysha Chapman | USA / Houston Dash FB- Ashley Lawrence | FRA / Paris Saint-Germain FB- Jayde Riviere | USA / University of Michigan M- Jessie Fleming | ENG / Chelsea FC M- Julia Grosso | CAN / University of Texas at Austin M- Quinn | USA / OL Reign M- Desiree Scott | USA / Kansas City NWSL F- Janine Beckie | ENG / Manchester City FC F- Adriana Leon | ENG / West Ham United FC F- Nichelle Prince | USA / Houston Dash F- Deanne Rose | USA / University of Florida F- Christine Sinclair | USA / Portland Thorns FC F- Evelyne Viens | USA / NJ/NY Gotham FC
  19. Looking at the entry list yes... but I doubt it.
  20. Mixed. The Canadian team has a small chance. They need a NR by 3 seconds and the best athletes won't be there..
  21. If you have two or more in the top 18, the country gets too choose
  22. Which means Kisil would go, beating out Hayden by 0.04!
