  1. FIBA is known for this. They used to have 4 wildcards picked for the World Championships, and Im sure many countries paid bribes to get one of those slots.
  2. 4, but you can name another athlete too it as well. Canada's omnium athlete was named to both.
  3. Welcome to Thomas Bach's Olympics where nothing makese sense
  4. Canada's team size stands at 371 athletes atm. Rugby +2 Water polo +1 Field hockey +2 Football +4 These sports alternates will count now (waiting for final confirmation). So that is 380 athletes right there. These can add to the team: -Men's hammer throw (Athletics) - Adam Keenan is the first reserve -Men's basketball (12 athletes) - Waiting for qualification tournament to end on Sunday -Laurence Vincent Lapointe is still waiting to hear if she can compete in canoeing -An appeal on the exclusion of the equestrian jumping team is still outstanding ? -There is an appeal currently regarding Jeremy Chartier's potential participation in Tokyo. We will know the verdict on Friday. -Any B standard swimmer being invited to the games (unlikely, but still a possibility exists). so if everything is positive then we are looking at 397+ athletes
  5. Insane. Fiba should be investigated next.
  6. Did the USA forget the walks were on the Olympic program?
  7. Having 36 shooting medals is ridiculous, when the Olympics have 15. In any case the original statement was not "India has underperformed at the CWG. "history of Commonwealth sports." does not equal "CWG". Commonwealth sports = countries who compete at the CWG.
  8. I actually never said that, from the countries that compete in the CWG, India is one of the top performers just at the CWG. Overall, including every other event? Not so much.
  9. There is no venue nearby Birmingham that could host the games. Unlike track cycling using the London 2012 venue, the shooting venue was temporary iirc. I am not sure results at one Commonwealth Games represents anything. Fact is Canada won more medals in one Winter Olympics (with the third of the medals on offer) than India has in all Summer Olympics. That fact is frankly embarrassing for a country the size of India. I am sure that will change though this year.
  10. 655 million /medal vs 19.5 /medal Clear difference, if you can't see that, idk what to say
  11. Where is the lie ?? I'll leave this here: http://www.medalspercapita.com/#medals-per-capita:2016

  21. Which would mean the quota should be given to
  22. She won the Canadian trials which give her the chance to represent if a spot was won. She did not get that chance (to win a quota). She was also ranked #2 when she left to become pregnant.
