  1. Wales 2-0. Turkey has been extremely disappointing. If not for Poland they'd be the worst team at the Euros so far. If Switzerland beats Italy tonight then Turkey will be out after two games.
  2. Caglar is a guy who made is name in Freiburg of all places. No wonder he screws the joint at this level. No chance Turkey can do anything with such woeful defending. They're lucky not to be 0-3 down already.
  3. Ramsey blows another 100% chance. Wales should be like 2-0 up already...
  4. Wales wasting some epic chances. Two headers across the goal from 5 meters out
  5. It is what it is. Liberal democracy is heavily unpopular in Hungary no matter what UEFA thinks of it
  6. Russia wins 1-0. Not enough quality up front for Finland.
  7. Barinov hasn't been subbed off. Finland should try to get him send off
  8. Of course it is. Still, WTA has become surface-dependent in the last few years. Top players focus on their best surface and try to maximize their results there. Turnarounds like Sharapova going from 06 16 defeats on clay to win Roland Garros are almost impossible these days.
  9. Riske is a grass speciallist tbh. Bertens should have made her best surface count and she didn't after beating Halep in Madrid final.
  10. Pohjanpalo, bitches!!! going for the repeat from 2016!
  11. And he just got suspended for one game for mouthing off at the N.Macedonia player https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/57499915
  12. Sadly she completely blew it at Roland Garros 2019 when she was one of the faves after winning Madrid. And she never did anything since (save for winning St. Petersburg). Fast forward two years and Krejcikova is a GS champion while Bertens completely missed her 5 seconds of fame window. It was there to be had for Bertens but she couldn't cash in. No wonder she pressed the retirement button, her ship has sailed mentally more than anything.
  13. Unsurprisingly Russia make a change in goal and Semyonov is also out vs Finland
  14. @heywoodu Rinus VeeKay will miss the Elkhart Lake round this weekend due to a broken collarbone he suffered while cycling
  15. If you dope on purpose then of course you'll have some papers ready in case you get caught
  16. That wasn't the best of games. Germany had the possession but couldn't do anything with it. Havertz was poor and Werner completely MIA once he came on. France won but didn't even have to play at their best.
  17. Sara Errani used the same "contaminated meat" excuse (from a tortilla) and it didn't work either
  18. That's not the rule anymore. Now ARs have to WAIT until the play is over and then raise the flag. The rule was tweaked to prevent situations when a player was actually onside and the quick AR call was wrong. The rule was tweaked back in 2013 already (before the 2014 World Cup) but some fans still call it by the old version. I see this happen even in Polish league when commentators sometimes wonder "why the AR raised the flag so late?". Because that's the new rule! The previous rule tweak was in 2005 when AR was allowed to keep the flag down when a player offside wasn't making any play at the ball.
  19. I wonder how often English commentators will mix up the names of Szalai & Sallai? Or they simply pronounce it the same way?
  20. Reminds me when Bojana Jovanovski ended up being the only person at the airport in New Mexico https://www.bbc.com/sport/tennis/14369086
