  1. Does anyone else find the new bib numbers weird? Great to see Davidova take an early win! Elvira Oeberg had insane pace but forgot how to shoot. Somehow Hanna was equally as bad. Nothing to see from Polish athletes, this was as bad as it gets.
  2. draws . Obviously could have been worse. vs is the other match in that section.
  3. The UEFA playoffs draw ceremony has started. and + and + and . So either Italy or Portugal won't be at World Cup finals!
  4. 2/3 Thanksgiving games are over. Raiders beat Cowboys 36-33 in overtime! Lions drop to 0-10-1 after losing to Bears 14-16.
  5. This sure makes this whole vaccination thing completely expendable and worthless? What's the point of vaccinations if you have to put in a full lockdown anyway? The politicians are totally out of ideas if they can't come up with reasonable answers.
  6. An 8-year old boy has also died bringing the total of deaths to six. And given some of the injuries these children will face a very long and expensive way to ever get healthy again. https://edition.cnn.com/2021/11/22/us/waukesha-wisconsin-parade-victims/index.html Meanwhile the bond has been set at 5 million dollars, quite an upgrade over a thousand bucks this guy got last time.
  7. Guess Sweden isn't so progressive after all. Even an outdated and conservative Poland had three female Prime Ministers in the last 30 years
  8. Meanwhile in Wisconsin a registered sex offender who was released on 1,000 USD bail for running over the mother of his child run over a Christmas parade and killed five people. Oh yeah, the guy is black and all the deceased are white hence why the BLM movement stays silent on the matter. I wonder if this guy will use the race card to escape getting jailed for life? https://edition.cnn.com/2021/11/23/us/waukesha-car-parade-crowd-tuesday/index.html
  9. Technically he says he's for the freedom of choice (the choice NOT to have a vaccine)
  10. Well, Hamilton's win was NID and Verstappen needed five laps to grab second. The rest was history but the race had some overtaking against the odds. As usual, no luck for Bottas
  11. Well, the global press has given up on Taiwan and Hong Kong already so they have to find something else for the next two weeks
  12. Peng Shuai isn't a global name. She's not been a top player since injury in 2015. What's more, she's been suspended for offering money for a player to withdraw from 2017 Wimbledon. She's hardly won a singles match in the last three years and was basically semi-retired. Her last good season was 2017.
  13. Well, at least the idea that "she disappeared" is nonsense. China is what it is but it ain't North Korea
  14. So apparently this flag ain't new but just goes back to the traditional version. Again, people just don't notice that because everyone probably realizes it's dark blue (and different to Russian blue or Swedish blue).
  15. Wut? French blue was always darker than EU blue. No wonder nobody noticed.
  16. Neah, that won't happen, Federer is a broken down dinosaur, Nadal is also missing time with injuries and I'm pretty sure ATP will drop all the money for the Next Gen guys (Sinner, Alcaraz, FAA etc.). Any breakaway series only has sense at the height of the given federation's power (darts & American open-wheel in mid 90s for instance). If the tennis breakaway happened it should have been when the Top 4 was at its top (mid 2010s). Now it's too late IMO.
  17. He won't boycott his most successful Grand Slam Btw, we have a new WTA record in broken serves in a single match. World junior #1 Victoria Jimenez Kasintseva beat Maria Lourdes Carle 7-6 5-7 7-5 in a match that lasted 3h 47 minutes and featured 26(!) broken service games in the Montevideo Open 125k. VJK is only 16 years old so you'll probably hear about her in the future anyway.
  18. If Djokovic plays then everyone plays. Hell, even Sabalenka got vaccinated after missing Indian Wells with COVID. This controversy is basically over.
  19. Shohei Ohtani (AL) and Bryce Harper (NL) have been named season MVPs.
  20. Qualifying in Nizny Tagil has started. Fatih Arda Ipcioglu has qualified as the first Turkish ski jumper to the main competition. He's been trying to do this since 2017 and spend majority of last few seasons on the Continental Cup.
  21. It's a diplomatic boycott so completely useless. Who cares about politicans attending OG anyway?
  22. IOC only cares about financial profit from the games. Anyone who thinks otherwise has been asleep for the last 20 years at least.
  23. It's a bluff. WTA can't afford to drop the Chinese money long-term. Players will never agree to paycuts if Chinese money is gone.
  24. Neah, the anti-Chinese backlash was much bigger before Beijing 2008 and things have went rather smoothly for then since then. World has forgotten about Tibet and Hong Kong by now and Peng Shuai isn't really more important than Tibet, is she? This is Realpolitik at its finest indeed.
  25. And it's also an internal Chinese case. Do you really believe any foreign country or organization can tell China what to do with their own citizens? Good luck with that!
