  2. Huge cause in Slovakia. A certain lady lost 400 000 EUR in the daily Vaccination lottery in Slovakia. Every day a couple of vaccinated person win 1000 EUR, 5 more person wins 10 000 EUR and every Sunday night there a special TV Lottery show on our national public TV with 5 person winning 100 000 EUR and more And now about this lady The fifth player picked up the phone but did not say the password in the allotted time; She claimed that she was watching TV over the internet and the transmission was delayed. With that she lost prize money of 400,000 euros; this amount, which is made up of the main prizes not distributed, will be transferred to the next main prize drawing of the vaccine lottery. But the Minister of Finance and the GM of the TV decided they will pay her the full win after all the trash which started in the medias, they travelled yesterday to the city of Prešov to announce it themselves to the lady lol More here https://newsbeezer.com/czechrepubliceng/the-woman-won-100000-euros-in-the-slovak-vaccination-lottery/ The video with that fail

  4. Olympics are for all fans all over the world not for those from France only..

  5. Normally, no. But considering this has been in the air for a long time and IWF is just somehow managing to make it worse on a near-daily basis, I'm kind of expecting that, yes. Not that it would matter for Paris 2024 as a whole of course. Terrible for the athletes, sad for weightlifting fans, but other than that, I highly doubt anyone will really care. And that's not even thinking about probably 90% - at least - of the Olympic viewers who won't even know it was gone until it's back in LA 2028 (if they'll even notice the existence then).

  6. It was a good afternoon for Iran, winning 2 gold and 1 bronze medals plus sending 4 wrestlers to the final for the next day beating Russian 3 times today and securing the team title. this was an "experienced" junior team, half of them were in our senior competitions already so it was expected to get good results here. 5 of these guys are still in race to make the senior team in 2021 World Championships in Norway. a summary of the day, 2 gold for Iran, 2 for Russia and 1 for USA next day finalists: 61: Amouzad vs Ravinder 74: O'Toole vs Kuanyshbay 86: Firouzpour vs Magamadov 92: Hajiloueian vs Elam 125: Akbarpour vs Gevorgyan

  9. Really much much tougher standards than in previous editions, almost WCH and OG level. for example in hepthatlon going up from 5850 points to 6250 😳 I don’t like it, ECH were the only chance for non top international level athletes and young athletes to appear in a large event. Beside that the number of athletes in field events is only 26! not sure how they want to handle non qualified nations as there will be few with the new entry standards. In the past each NF could enter one non qualified athlete per event subject to approval by EAA based on quality of athlete. I guess that is gone too. But let’s wait for the official document in English.

  11. Athletics European Championships in Munich next year will have a much shorter and new qualification system. For past editions athletes had the opportunity to qualify in a circle of 1,5 years (January - to the championships), for Munich only results from 27. July 2021 on (Olympics) will count. Aswell there are much higher Entry Standards and also the World Rankings will count for the Qualification: https://www.obeznik.cz/l/limity-mnichov2022/

  12. Well, don't expect much joy after winning one game. If you don't like Giorgi then you must truly hate Karolina Pliskova Or maybe it's Sakkari that causes all this drama?

  13. Do we have enough talent to justify a third sprint women? Will the sprint team be three people? I guess at that point the 14th quota probably doesn't have much of a chance at winning a medal (unless they can convince Michael Woods to compete in the road race) so it may go to whoever is having a good season.

  16. this is amazing sometimes how people believe whatever they read. first I have to say I'm really ashamed of what Iranian regime did here, they gave legitimacy to Taliban by inviting them to Tehran to "negotiate" while this group is still considered as terrorist by their own list. people still remember what Taliban did to Iranian diplomats in 1998. Iran almost went to war because of that. but Iran wasn't the first one taking pics with Taliban giving them legitimacy, that was Mike Pompeo. (and that was exactly when Taliban won the war) and while Iran has/had some influence in Afghanistan that's mostly culturally. Iran could not play a major role. unless they wanted to send troops and fight with Taliban. that was possible and probably not "that" hard for Iran but they stupidly thought they can manage living with Taliban next to our borders. and I have to say some stupid officials here just want US troops out of the region, Taliban is more "manageable" for them and again, Iran will be in lots of trouble in future, I assume none of you guys know that something like 3 million Afghan refugees are living in Iran. some of them even born in Iran. all of them (or their parents) fled Afghanistan when Taliban took over for the first time. the number was much higher but lots of them came back after the fall of Taliban in 2001. I assume lots of them (plus a lot more) will cross the borders again. and the current Iran can't handle its own people, let alone millions of refugees, it will be a disaster. and I assume with Taliban in charge there will be more drugs coming through our borders, another problem Iran has to deal with.

  17. I am not an expert of Muslim issues. But I guess Shias Iranian will not support Sunnis Taliban. For China, we don't care who's in charge, democracy or not, we just want a stable government to do business.

  18. The point of Trump's peace treaty with the Taliban was to hand the country over to them. Everyone knew this would happen, the only surprise is that it happened so quickly.

  19. Some extent of chaos is within expectation, but airplane taking off with people clinging on the surface and seeing them dropping off is totally beyond my imagination. Firstly I saw it reported by Russian media and I thought it’s fake news.

  22. I don't think they are in danger "right now" (and by right now, I mean NOW, nobody knows about tomorrow) Taliban tries to look nice, they won't do anything super crazy for now. one of their guys even had an interview with a female host in a local TV. (this probably sounds pretty normal to you but this is way above Taliban's standards) I try to think positive, maybe they are smarter this time but still from what I hear from people who knows Taliban better than me (I mean people with first hand experiences), most of them believe this is just the start, they will do their normal Taliban thing when they settle. so yes if I was a female athlete in Afghanistan I would leave the country when I still have the chance. but it's not as easy as that. Yousufi was probably in a big danger, she was their only female athlete in past 2 Olympics, and they knew her very well but she was born in Iran, she had a "home" to go. most of them don't. this probably explains how Afghan female athletes feel right now, the "world" told them to be brave and the same world abandoned them. most athletes wish to be famous, to become famous. but right now I guess nobody wants to be a famous athlete in Afghanistan. https://www.cbc.ca/sports/soccer/afghanistan-soccer-cry-for-help-amid-government-collapse-1.6142728

  23. wow I can't believe I wrote that 5 days ago, it feels like 2 years ago no chance, they already withdrew from the Paralympics. and those girls should be careful for their lives. (if they already didn't leave the country) their Olympics female flagbearer Kimia Yousufi already fled to Iran. (where she born and grew up) Taliban "claims" they are different this time but a wise person doesn't trust them at all. I highly doubt we will see Afghan female athletes anymore (and most probably even male athletes)
