  4. While the Europeans are on, in Poland my team made a great debut in the Polish Curling League (third level), winning both games this weekend. We played for the first time in this roster. However, next leg (21-22 December) will be quite interesting, as we play against the other two teams, who have also won their both games so far.

  6. Yes, I believe I can get more ? For sure I can get autographs from the brazilian skiers (except for one who has no contact at all with the team) and I am sure they would be glad with sending autographs ? and also from some IBU Cup athletes. I can't promise, but maybe also from Doro Wierer and Thomas Bormolini (it depends on if I will see them in Livigno this season)

  9. I'm sorry, I have not responed before now. To answer your questions: 1) It will be much more clear when I open the Biathlon Manager Game Thread. 3f, now been changed to 3e) I know it's not so clear, but what I write is what I mean. An example to clarify. J.T. Boe scores 150 points in the first WC round. You would like to earn some points via the transfer system, so you choose to "sell" J. T. Boe. You then choose to "buy" L. Hofer for your team to replace J. T. Boe. Hofer scored 80 points in the first WC round. The difference is +70 points (150-80), so 70 points are added to your total score. Let's say your 10 biathletes have scored a total of 670 points after the first WC round. You decide to make the aforementioned transfer. Your total score will then be 740 (670+70) when the second WC round starts. I hope this has clarified how the transfer system works. And yes, I'm a bit crazy. Or that is what some of my friends tell me when I come up with ideas like these. Anyhow, thanks for the good luck. I probably need it. To all, I have deleted some paragraphs in the rules. Nothing drastically, the point system is still the same. @heywoodu I don't know what the price could be? Maybe a personal autograph from a certain Brazilian female biathlete? According to my knowledge, you seem to know one very well.

  12. Israel is USA's enclave in the Middle East specifically created as such after WWII. There's more money being spend on Israel than even Obamacare's budget. It's a bottomless pit. Of course they will support whatever suits Israel. And the Dems can't really protest that as another silly Trump gimmick since they risk losing the Jewish votes back home.

  21. I used to give my friends and classmates “autographs” when I was younger too . The “autographs” were generally papers I didn’t want back, or were too lazy to put in my folder. So instead of throwing them away, I’d give it someone and say “hold on to this in case I become famous (and then sell it on EBay )”. Generally that person would take it, and throw it right in the trash can . Even my old unofficial girlfriend

  26. In general it's just a medister. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Medisterpølse) During christmas season (which of course starts a long time before christmas) there are julemedister as well, usually with a bit different spices than usually. There are also other kinds. For some years we've had grillmedister in the summer period and for a year or two Aldi has had different kinds following the seasons (yeah, also spring, summer and autumn). But the Danish Peoples Party doesn't really seem to care. They also keep on saying that IKEA is taking away their christmas because of the collection "Vinterfest" even though the politician who started it has been invited to take part in IKEA's christmas

  28. And now for my personal view. Firstly, thank you @Wumo and @Agger for creating a wonderful event. @Wumo forget about all those people, who do not appreciate hard work, and try not to beat yourself up too much. I personally know that it is highly impossible to organize such big contest, it is getting a lot of you, so I really appreciate all those who went up hosting also previous events. To delegation, wow, thank you so much, I was really surprised, that a song, sung in a completely different language. could "steal" 12 points. I can not remember, when did we ever get 12 pts (maybe with Tina ). @dcro "thank you" for not awarding a song, performed by Croatian singer . I also did not put Maksim Mrvica on my list, because it reminded me too much on Croatian Eurovision songs (Vanna, Magazin,...). @bestmen once again, amazing points presentation, congrats for that, thank you for your 11 points, whether you meant it for real or not, I don't care. @Griff88 another surprise from a country I was not expecting to be awarded with 10 points. Also thank you all others who voted for my song, thank you for your patience, cause I was among last to send my song and my votes. Last, but not least, congratulations @heywoodu. This girl is simply amazing, she is a lot on Slovenian radio stations, but until now, I did not know, she comes from Netherlands. It is something unusual for a winning song getting also 12 points from myself. See you soon, in TAISC 2020.

  30. Strange, maybe. Complicated, indeed. This season of BMG will very much be used as sort of a prototype to see what works and doesn't. I'm curious to see which biathletes benefit most from this point system?

  33. The system was designed to give more meaningful International matches to all teams going to the Olympics in 2020. That’s why every teams, even Japan and the US, are participating in the final qualification tournament. It’s somehow the most sensible of FIBA’s four qualification systems for these Olympics so I am not inclined to complain too much...

  35. Special mention for the Czech Republic and Asia. Czechs made history by claiming (largely unexpected) two spots, while Pakistan has a chance to be the sixth Asian nation qualified. I don't think Asia ever had more than two nations in eventing at single Olympics.

  39. Some very personal thoughts for someone's first time as host: As first time host I did not really know what to expect. I had only previously been a spectator to one TISC and participated in one other, so my TISC-experience was quite small. Fortunately for me, I have had Agger as co-host who has participated many times in TISC and hosted one previously. I knew they were a lot preparation done before a TISC even opens. The most demanding thing during the preparation process was to come up with ideas and an a concept for this TISC. I'm not a person filled with many creative ideas, so this process felt at time frustrating. For me, I felt I had to live up to many different expectations from the users here on the forum. But due to not being overly creative, I often ended up being frustrated with myself. I began to question if I was a good enough host. It even develop into thinking if I was good enough as a person. TiSC and my studies took so much of my time that I did not have time to just sit down and relax. I was really stressed and I couldn't sleep much. This could not go on for much more time. One day, I sat down and said to myself, "Stop blaming yourself and try to live up to everybody's exceptions. Don't think you have to create something new, use ideas you like and adjust them to your liking". After this, I was much more at peace with myself. I started to believe in my own ideas and I didn't care if I used an idea someone had used before. It was okay. When the Grand Final ended yesterday evening/night, I cried, It had been such an emotional rollercoaster for me. All what I have written above seems to tell that I should have said stop during the process before it came to me questioning myself, and yes I should have probably done that, but I didn't. Instead I have been through a personal process where I have learned to accept my own limits. I never thought hosting a song contest on a sports forum would learn me something about my own personal life. I don't think my story is at all a good representaton of hosting an edition of TISC. Don't be scared to host. it's fun when your product is finally done, but it can feel frustrating during the process. TISC is, after all, about trying to create a stronger community here on Totallympics. I will give a special thank you to @Agger, @OlympicIRL and @vinipereira. Thanks to @Agger for the help preparing for TISC as co-host. Credits to his work on the presentation of the different cities and towns. Thanks to @OlympicIRL for his help with different ideas, especially his idea for a point format for the TISC Team Challenge. Thanks to @vinipereira for his help with the design of the logo. It would not have been possible without you. And lastly, thanks to all who have been so kind to have shown their interest and passion for TISC once again
