The u20 championship of next year won't be the qualification event for conmebol. A special u23 competition to be played in Colombia in 2020 will award the quotas for OG.

Group A is way tougher. Ecuador and Venezuela are coming from succesful U20s in 2017 and 2019 and Colombia is the host. Also I think only 2 teams advance to final round? Brazil and Uruguay will walk the other group.

 

Of course, this assuming everyone takes their best players, which is very unlikely...

 

For example, Lautaro Martínez would be eligible for the argentinian team but i'm sure there's no way he will be allowed to play.

yes, the top 2 in each group will advance to the 4-team round robin main group...

 

then, the top 2 of the final round go to the Olympics...
