Netherlands is much much much better team. It should qualify easily.

Plus two home matches I guess? Or neutral ground or something? :p

Yeah, two at home.

Pakistan has virtually no chance. I mean, they actually have good and very skilled players but will probably go there unprepared and with an awful old-fashioned coach that will lead them nowhere.

Meh. I hope they manage to put up a serious fight, even if it might not be realistic hope.

If South Africa rejects the quota? How's it going?

South Africa will not reject their men's quota, they have reached the NOCs' selection criteria.

Not sure if they are accepting the women's quota.

Either way, any reallocation goes to the highest ranked team that lost their play-off match. Except for the South African men, since Egypt is ranked in the top 20 and were runner-up in the African qualification event they would get the quota.

No, Egypt is not ranked 20 anymore. They dropped to 21 in the latest ranking.

I think Ben is asking for France, but unfortunately French rank 12 and for sure there will be at least one better ranked team that will lose their play-off  (likely the loser of GB-Malaysia). So, France doesn't have any more chance.

Anyway, I think like you said that South Africa will take the men's quota.

    • I still shocks, that a country of 4-5 million inhabitants? can be a powerhouse in almost every winter sport + handball, football (most recently with Haaland) and athletics: Ingebrigtsen, Warholm, etc. With such a small population, they can't be missing out on any major talent, surely? This must be the best training system in the world...
