Polish media report that Ingebrigtsen would have pulled out of 3000m and returned home if he wasn't reinstated in the 1500m :coffee:

So are they going to re-run the women’s 3000m with Mišmaš & Vasteburg reinstated?  Applying the rules might or might not be ridiculous, but having one rule for superstars & another for ordinary athletes definitely is.

Indeed, it's a shame they reversed the disqualification. I don't like the Norwegian anyway (way too full of himself), but that's not the point. What about Jordier (400), Mišmaš and Vastenburg (3000)? Completely ridiculous!

That's the way it works though. There are different set of rules for stars and also-runs.

Btw, Poland filed a counter-appeal and it has just been rejected. Meanwhile Lewandowski has pulled out of the 3000m :coffee:

I’m guessing that :ITA 60m runner Lamont Marcell Jacobs was not born in the land of Michelangelo & Dante?  :mumble:

He was born in Texas (home of his father), but then his mom (who's 100% Italian) divorced from his dad and they came to Italy when he was about 3 or 4 years young (if you listen to him speakin' English, you immediately notice that he didn't grow up in an English-speaking Country)...

so, technically, he's a fully Italian runner (as he's a fully Italian citizen because of his blood and education), definitely more than all our middle distance runners with African heritage...
