It is now known that our ceremony will be on the 20th of december.

The top 10 sorted by sports:

  • Alexandra Nacheva (athletics) - Gold at the YOG & U20 Worlds, Silver at the U18 Euro.
  • Mirela Demireva (athletics) - Silver at the World Championships, First Diamond League winner for Bulgaria
  • Gabriela & Stefani Stoeva (badminton) - Gold at the European Championships, 4 BWF wins, Qualified for the BWF Finals
  • Kubrat Pulev (prof. boxing) - Official IBF Contender for Anthony Joshua's Heavyweight Title
  • Stoyka Petrova (am. boxing) - Silver at the World Championships, Gold at the European Championships
  •
  • Katrin Taseva (rhytmic gymnastics) - Silver at the World Championships, 10 medals in the World Cups
  • Alexandra Jekova (snowboard) - Olympic Games final
  • Bilyana Dudova (wrestling) - Silver at the World Championships, Gold at the European Championships
  • Kiril Milov (wrestling) - Silver at the World Championships
  • Taybe Yusein (wrestling) - Golds at the World Championships & European Championships

By my account, the top 3 should be: 1) Yusein, 2) Demireva, 3) Dudova

Also pleasantly surprised, that they ignored Grigor Dimitrov and didn't vote blindly for him.

    • Malinin  opted for the 4-Axel in his Short Program, but faltered, landing him in 3rd thus far (and only 0.05 away from 4th!).  Surely he has the tools to rise back up in the Free Program.  (Also, perhaps this will serve to show him that he is in fact beatable.)
    • I think they incorrectly translated Ukrainian word "nahorody" - it is not a full synonym of "medal". Its cocrrect translation is "award". Meanwhile russian tennis playes switched for Potapova ->  Rakhimova ->
    • Ukrainian diver Lyskun switches allegiance to Russia, loses all medals | Olympics News | Al Jazeera   'loses all medals'   I would assume Al Jazeera could have been a bit clearer and mention this would presumably only be national medals. I mean, it's not like the Ukrainian federation, or any single federation for that matter, has the power to strip her of her world and European championships medals I hope (not for her sake, but because that would be a super weird precedent)
    • That's what I'd plan as well (except for MelFest), but I also know I am hypocritical enough to still want to watch the show and have a fun evening
    • Confirmation about the broadcasting rights.   If I'm reading it right, for most of Europe it will now be exclusive to Discovery/Eurosport or whatever brand they use.     For outside Europe, it's on YouTube. For Planet VPN....well, let us know if you find out.   fil-taker-list-25-26-winterberg-1.pdf   Also, should have mentioned above that the Nations Cup races today are just over one leg, whereas there are two runs in each of the World Cup races.
    • Got our first competition of the season coming up in Solitude, Utah  this weekend.  Live on Discovery Plus etc, plus also YouTube and the Olympic Channel.  If you are new to the sport, the sprint races on Saturday will be the format you'll find easy to understand.     ISMF   ISMF Skimo - YouTube
    • Surely. Her first coach now works in russia (and grandma lives in russia according to Sereda). They were in contact and despite of full funding from  the girl decided to become the star of russian propaganda.  As I saw in X: "It took the Russians four years of war to find a relatively well-known sports personality to carry out such a propaganda operation."

    • Oh dear oh dear.  Going to be ructions with this one.  Established international diver Sofia Lyskun wants to transfer from..... to !     Somehow I think the three year rule will be enforced.   Sofiia Lyskun: Ukrainian federation 'expresses deep indignation' after champion diver switches to Russia - BBC Sport
