It's ok to try new 'young' events to reach a bigger audience just like IBU did with great success. But for that to be successful, you need very easily untestable rules that don't take 5 minutes to get your head around. Mass Start in biathlon have been successful because it was fresh and exciting, but also because it could be understood instinctively by anyone.
