Not sure about the validity of this, but a great career nonetheless.

Another :SVK legend officially retired. Well, he did not play since 2017 after back surgery for a herniated disc, but yesterday his tweet made it official.

Marián Gáborík

2x Olympian 2006 & 2010,

one of the very few players who played two World Cups of Hockey 2004 & 2016 (Silver) and 6 World Championships Tournaments. Junior WCh 2000 bronze medalist.

Huge NHL star where he played more than 20 years. (1035 regular-season games in the NHL and had 407 goals and 815 points in 17 seasons. He scored 30 or more goals seven times and is fifth in scoring in NHL history among Slovakian players. He won the fastest skater contest at his first All-Star Game in 2003 and was named MVP of the All-Star Game in 2012 in Ottawa.)

Ďakujeme "Majo"

:LTU Lithuania

Simona Krupeckaitė has announced that she will retire in UCI Champions League event on November 27th in Panevėžys, Lithuania.

Simona is a five time Olympian (shared record with Virgilijus Alekna and Daina Gudzinevičiūtė), 2 time World Champion, 3 time European Champion, she still holds two World Records and she has countless silver and bronze medals from all major championships, yet only the olympic medal has eluded her.

She is very well known in the cycling-track world and Lithuania probably will never have a cyclist that accomplished as Krupeckaitė was.

Sad to see her go, but as people say, don't be sad that it's over, be happy that it happened and she has awarded so many wonderful sport memories from my childhood to adulthood. Will always be one of the greats.

Nevermind, she is going to be racing in UCI Champions League and she will retire after the league is finished.

:ITA Federica Pellegrini (swimming)

game over, guys!

the last 50 meters (actually not a race, but a party with some of her historical rivals and a touching memory of Camille Muffat)...

thank you, Federica for all the emotions...:champion:

    • Yes, he is ones of the first supporters of Milei, owner of one of the most important stock market of Argentina (Bull market), he was peronist and for "unknown reasons" start to be libertarian.   Even being libertarian in my case, i have to admit that him is one of the dumbest of "Milei supporters" and a clown when  he is in TV, he made me feel  embarrassed in many occasions.   Camila Giorgi being with him is.......inconceivable.
    • Ya but the replacement is Pat Bondi, a choice that is only better in so far as Pat Bondi isn't credibly accused of having had sex with multiple underaged girls.   Also, you might recognize this name: Pete Hoekstra has been nominated to be the US ambasador to Canada.
    • Camila Giorgi has a new BF Ramiro Marra. Apparently he's some politician/journalist from Argentina. One of Milei's supporters dare I say? @LDOG@konig
    • Skeleton Tour moves on to Yanqing  this weekend.  Asian Cup races tomorrow, then the World Cup on Saturday, and then possibly more Asian Cup next weekend before everyone moves over to Altenberg for the start of the full Skeleton / Bobsleigh tour again.
    • 2-1.   But it's good to have a great champion in the squad. I've been waiting for this my whole life. I wish we had such stars in every sport.
    • But he beat Mouat, who seems to be almost unbeatable
    • Argentina has a really solid lineup, especially if they have prepared seriously for this event. Of course they don't have a champion like we do, but in this format it is enough to win 1 match to play the decisive doubles.
    • Today we must to beat Argentina. It looks like Sinner will have to win all the singles and doubles for us to defend the title. So far, the 2nd and 3rd favorites before the tournament have already been eliminated: Esp and USA.
