But still your team have chances to qualify for Games.

dcro 10,209 Posted December 2, 2017 #127 Share Posted December 2, 2017 Geez, how can they have this stupidity in the Olympic program when still even ISU results system doesn't know how to handle it? Seriously, it will take an hour to get those results... #banbestmen
NearPup 2,403 Posted December 2, 2017 #128 Share Posted December 2, 2017 (edited) Could the ISU just get rid of the stupid, stupid, stupid sprints in the mass start? Just. Rank. People. By. Their. Finishing. Order. I actually think the Mass Start could be a great event if it was a couple laps longer (like 25?) and didn't have points. Please go work for the ISU, because this makes much more sense than what they are doing. Ok, 25 is still too short, a mass start can be longer than the longest single distance (think 40-50km and no stupid semi-finals, works a million times per year in the Dutch Marathon Cup), and those freaking points...ugh, they are utterly useless. Oh, and confusing. If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! Oh, and confusing. I mean I don't mind the length. I'd be okay with a real Marathon, I'm okay with 20-ish lap. I kind of like how both sprinters and long distance skaters can do well in the current mass start. But the points... all it does it make things confusing for no reason. The whole point of a mass start is the simplicity of the first person crossing the line winning.
