Doping Cases and Bans 2021 Thread

Recommended Posts

And everyone in the UK suspects Sky sold up due to the doping stories affecting their reputation. Considering Ineos as a company are not overtly popular further doping stories  (and actual stories relating to current activities and not just speculation or rumours without some evidence) could be very damaging to them.

Through the British Press  care less now as they now fully spereate from the Manchester based team and UKAD have less jurisdiction over them

Obviously there is no proof, otherwise he wouldn't be allowed to compete. Common sense/a basic understanding of statistics should tell you that the probablity of him being clean at best is as big as the probability of you winning the lottery every week for the rest of your life.

Like what's the point in watching top level sports if you truly believe all the top contenders are cheaters?

This is why you want to make sure to finish the 4x100m if you make it to the finals because you never know xD

Similarly, you want to register a clear lift in Weightlifting.

Nope, the source should be your own common sense, but in this case it doesn't seem to work, because you somehow see the accomplishment of some of your compatriots as partly your own and admitting to yourself that they are as dirty as everyone else would leave you without anything to be proud of.

You could still enjoy it for what it is, a form of entertainment. Personally i believe that anyone who watches elite sports is supporting doping, so i will stop watching it. Personally i believe that you should not not do something that is right, just because it has negative effects on you personally (not being able to use sports as a source of entertainment).

How many times will you write this down before you finally stop visiting this forum? We got it the first time you wrote it down, stop strocking your gargantuan ego and disappear already.

And other than cycling most of the increase is in a select few sports when funding and full time training is proven to make a lot of the difference and doping is not likely to be effective.

Like what, checkers and competitive eating?

    • I'll post significant changes periodically. I'll start with the recently added/updated documents.   Archery The addition of mixed compound (12M & 12W) forced a reduction on the recurve side. The mixed compound quotas are distributed as follows   Host - 1 World Championships - 3 Continental Games - 5 World Ranking List - 2 Final Qualifier - 1   To compensate the team events will now only have 8 nations. 2 quotas were removed from the World Ranking List and 2 were removed from the Final Qualifier.   Individual recurve and mixed recurve distribution is the same
    • In Rome, it would be useful to roof the swimming pool complex at Foro Italico, possibly with the option of retracting the roof and covering the tennis court complex. Overall, there's a lot to do, for example, compared to Budapest, but unfortunately, this is Italy How many years has Roma been building their new stadium, and they keep pushing back the completion date- now I read it's 2030? and it should be ready. The same goes for Milan- there should be a modern complex of indoor swimming pools with 50 meters pools, etc., but there's a problem with one stupid football stadium, which will only be built after an ultimatum from UEFA

    • impossible, there are not enough venues in both towns and I mean, Milan doesn't have an Olympic Stadium, a decent Tennis Complex and a big Swimming Complex (not to mention the sea) Rome, on the other hand, doesn't have a Rowing/Canoeing Basin nor arenas and stadiums for the team sports beyond football and rugby there's no chance that all those venues would be built from scratch, meanwhile if we use both cities we already have almost everything we need, especially the most expensive and controversial sites

She wasn’t a top-tier athlete in that program anymore. She was at the end of her career. I would personally would rather race against Katie. She’s not as competitive as the other athletes,” he said. “It’s probably really unfair to say and not really where I want to go with this but that’s where we are with that.”   Uhlaender: “If I were Canada, I would be concerned in how this coach is representing the Olympic values for his country,” Uhlaender told Fox News Digital. “He hurt a whole field of athletes, all with dreams, and this sends the message that they don’t matter unless they are number one. All athletes matter, and we all deserve to compete fairly, with integrity, and respect. He did not respect anyone in that field. “This is not about my resume or how good the athletes were in the race. This is about the fact that he intentionally manipulated the competition to hurt myself and 13 other countries because he felt it necessary to eliminate all possibility. That is against the spirit of sport and not what the Olympic movement represents.”   Isn't it great when other people's dirty laundry is aired?  /sarcasm     (I was a little surprised to see NPR pick this up, but per this article, Uhlaender preemptively recorded the phone call after receiving a text from Cecchini that said he had 'bad news' for her.)
