You can add text in translator (pdf) it translate mosty correctly, I am using phone right now and it is hard to copy that. The names are mostly well translate from cyrilic alphabet. It is Ukrainian language.

You are allowed to bring up to two relay only swimmers for each qualified relay.

In Ireland's case and supposing the medlay relay won't swim, you have one relay team and the two relay only swimmers, who will be McGeever and McMillan.

The other two spots in this relay team must be filled by swimmers who have qualified individually.

Hyland might have been given an invitation to swim the 200 fly with an OST, as his 1.56.55 best time is very close to the 1.56.48 OQT. If that's the case, he and Ryan will swim in individual events and can complete the lineup for the relay. The total swimmers, though, will be nine and not ten.

Yes that’s exactly it, Brendan Hyland achieved the OST and was invited by FINA so he and Shane Ryan will swim the relay along with the 2 relay-only swimmers (McMillan and McKeever).

Swim Ireland said that Hyland was the only invitation they received from FINA for an OST swimmer and that was fortunate as it allowed them to participate in the relay. It was also fortunate for Hyland as Swim Ireland said in any other circumstance they wouldn’t have accepted any OST invitation from FINA :d

Yes that's it exactly. They explained it on the Swim Ireland website. Hyland was the only OST swimmer invited and if he did not go we would have no relay team. :IRL does not normally accept OST invites.

Our appeal on the 4 x 100 medley relay obviously went nowhere....as I expected.

Yes, it is official. It was 116 but today confirmed tennis player Tomáš Mácháč..... Background information speaks about some reallocations in athletics and swimming invitations as COC is trying to reach number of 120 athletes. But I guess we have to wait at least till this Friday. But as for now, the number 117 is official.

    • Khm, do we know the fate of the  license in pairs? I did not see confirmation of their entry.   If they fail  must get full license (team + individual) and one more place for team event will be available, am I correct?
    • Honestly, we did not expect more than 8. 2 additional places happened just becaues your double could not grab it due to the injury(?).
    • Vivat Slovakia    But in all seriousness, it's been repeatedly stated how important it is to qualify in a team event for the next Summer Olympics. However, I have no idea if we even have a realistic chance.   We only have one fewer individual athlete competing this year than we did in Paris, so individual quota spots aren't the main issue. Where can we find a competitive team, like we do in hockey? Maybe the women's handball team could start something big, but that's still far in the future, very likely unachievable in just two years.   And to be clear, as horrific as our medal tally from Paris looked, those were some of the unluckiest Olympics for Slovakia I have ever seen. Finishing in the top six seven times (!) is absolutely insane.

    • I really hope Nordic Combined doesn't get scrapped. Actually, I believe the Winter Olympics should keep growing with new sports and disciplines (3x3 Hockey, Ice Cross, Speed Skiing, Ice Climbing), otherwise they won't feel like a true celebration of sports like their summer counterpart.
    • In fact, well, no. Hockey is extremely physically demanding, I even think it is the most physically demanding winter sport of all. I mean keeping more than a minute on ice is just cardiac. The shifts are there for a reason.   25 players rosters are absolutely justified. You must have 4 lines to keep the stamina the whole game.   Hard to persuade people who never watched hockey though, I can understand your point, but sadly, the point is wrong
    • Stats are ok, but the time she losts on the range every time... My point was that she is more likely to make us losing the olympic relay than to make us winning it.
