wait..it´s not official ?

and here is this article of their NOC saying something more ? http://www.coe.org.ec/index.php/noticias/183-noticias-coe/2023-abanderamiento-banco-del-pacifico-marco-la-despedida-de-la-delegacion-tricolor-a-los-juegos-olimpicos-rio-2016

thanks for the answer  :)

oh I see now. Preciado is not the opening ceremony flagbearer then, he is the "second flagbearer" after Chocho. He just was in his place for this handover.

thanks, well, it´s more logical, assuming his competition is scheduled the next day.

Thanks once again, so I´ll fix the opening post then

Ok. That's clearer. Preciado is called "second flagbearer" (or junior, if you must) and Chocho is still "first"/senior. He received it because of Chocho's ausence but Chocho should still be flagbearer at the parade of nations.

EDIT: Way slower, lol

And after rumours of badminton player chosen as flagbearer, we will have the first athlete to qualify to Rio as our flag bearer instead :p

This announcement also means that Indonesia has chosen athletes from Bali as a flagbearer for three consecutive Olympics
