Ok, but Sighel? Ghiotto? Fischnaller in snowbord alpine?, Giacomel? None of them won an individual medal here, and it was enough for at least one of them to take 2nd place... It hurts. -

French organisers don’t seem to keen on Nordic Combined or Ski Mo. -
In response to the speed skating thread (it would be off-topic in there), I think Italy's biggest misfortune was the men's biathlon. Giacomel was in shape just before the games. It goes to show that Olympics at home are a double-edged sword. It can boost performances thanks to the atmosphere and familiarity with venues, but there's also immense pressure on delivering. In the end, both balance each other out. The Dutch team made most of their opportunities. It didn't exactly look good on the men's side in speed skating but that event made the difference today. -

The coverage of this will be a lot lower in 2030 because commentators can’t do this and short track and will likely focus on the one actually in France. Particularly if it’s the Netherlands and not Turin.
