So IOC is the main problem, ghoosing the wrong disciplines. Do they usually run in stairs?

also the clothes changing I guess is not the most important part of the competition in the longer races.

no, they don't run stairs, but they might have to go uphill with ice crampons (not in the world cup style races, but in the great classics, definitely yes)

meanwhile the seal skins transitions are very important (in the longer races you have to put them on in the uphill sections and take them off in the downhill sections more than once and you have only a pair of those, which you have to take care of with lots of attention not to compromise the race or get penalized)

Meh sorry but this discipline is getting absolutely crapped on in social media circles and I can see why. Thankfully it'll be gone by 2034 since its in the :USA

The relay format with two laps seems to make more sense than individual sprint

I am unashamed, at getting nothing done.

This sport makes more sense as it gets longer. 3 minute heats seem like a ninja TV programme tbh.

But the descent part shouldn't be anywhere near the finish line. That makes it anticlimactic

I am unashamed, at getting nothing done.
