Preuss lately isn't great in relays, but as the anchor, so I thought that starting second this time would put less pressure on her, sadly no

Correct. Previous best was 7th (2006 and 2018 where we infamously led after the third exchange only for Nowakowska to crumble on the last leg).

Italy, with its squad with some star, doing its worst relay results of all the season and Wierer, unfortunately, is the biggest loser here, alongside Giacomel. And even a silver medal in the mixed relay won't change that.
