Biathlon at the Winter Olympic Games Milano Cortina 2026

Recommended Posts

Seriously, for a home competition, the Italian team is embarrassingly weak on equipment and Vittozzi's gold won't change that. Losing to Poland or Bulgaria in the relay is a shame. In 90% of the races here, our skis are poorly prepared- I don't know what they're doing in Anterselva, but it seems they're completely incompetent on their own snow. With better equipment, Italy could have won one or two more medals here.

Yeah it was sth. Your team is in great shape here. Congratulation!

Ir might no best the performances ever, but the suspense between the top teams for the gold, idk, I don't remember anything like that.

Excellent work!

Thank you, the TISC tactic

First ever Olympic title for the French men's relay

Couldn't watch the race because I'm at work, could only follow via the IBU app, but how did Norway not win this though? I guess the French had better skis?

5th place for :USA

That's an outstanding result given who the 4 teams in front of them were, not to mention a bad first leg

Apparently our highest finish ever in a M relay. :)

Two deciding factors, in my opininon.

Botn had problems in the prone while Jacquelin was confident in his shooting and he was super fast too, making up for what Claude lost.

In the anchor leg, Perrot shot with more confidence and faster than Christiansen, while he also had the better skiing. :yes

I know this is true but it still feels unbelievable that :FRA had never won the men’s relay before xD

I have to agree with you on this one. In the very first lap, I saw Braunhofer lose contact with the rest of the field in a downhill and overtaken by everyone in the vicinity, and I knew what was coming.

At this point, we have struggled with different temperatures and different weather conditions. The only day in which we had acceptable equipment was on Sunday, and even then, Vittozzi seemed to lose time in the downhills, based on intermediate times. Today, with all teams starting together, it was clear our equipment was not just slower than France's rockets — it was the absolute worst of the pack.

In Tesero, the cross-country skiing technical staff got everything wrong on the first day, but they fixed things in the following days when the conditions changed. In Antholz, it looks like they have absolutely zero clues on how to make the skis at least acceptable.
