Huge upset for China in women's doubles. One of their doubles lost to Germans, so they have only one team in the field. It's the first time since 1975 when China might have only one medalling double in this event

Bring back the 1991 borders

What a championship player Truls Möregårdh!

saved I think 3 match points in the round of 16, and won 4-2 in sets in the quarterfinal After being losing the first two sets and having a period of 13 consecutive lost balls.

third global singles medal at the age of 23!

I've seen people in the past say that Hugo Calderano was a fraud and that he only had a high ranking because he played in a lot of smaller tournaments.

Well, now he's a semi-finalist in the Olympic Games, the World Cup and now the World Championship. Spectacular.

It's an interesting coincidence that he is also Brazilian, going kind of mountainbiker Henrique Avancini's way :p (he initially got a high ranking entirely due to doing well in lots and lots of relatively small national/regional competitions with no real competition, but then once he got to a high ranking, actually improved a lot and showed he definitely deserved that ranking based on quality :d)
