am considering Men's and Women's T20 World Cup as the Olympic format World Championships, is that right?

Yes, you can consider the 2026 WC. Also the '28 edition will be held in Feb/March that year in Australia and New Zealand, final confirmation will come by this year. For women's the WC could be after the Olympics making next year's result available for calculation

Also about Cricket: West Indies won a bronze medal at the 2024 Women's T20 World Championships. Of course West Indies will not be able to participate in LA, so to which country should I give the medal? I assigned it to Barbados because they were the :WIS representative at the 2022 Commonwealth Games. But what if :WIS wins a medal in the men's World Championships?

The national team that represents the West Indies in international competitions is the winner of the national championship. The women's bronze medal should go to Jamaica according to this principle, because they won the 2024 T20 Blaze.

Yeah, makes sense. I have reassigned that medal to :JAM.

This is back and everything is updated until the end of 2024. I will work on 2025 World Championships in the next days.

Some notes especially about new sports for LA, maybe @JoshMartini007 / @phelps / @Dragon and everyone else can help on this.

Coastal Rowing: I am using Beach Sprint Finals as World Championships. I see there are also Coastal World Championships, but the Olympic format is not contested there right?

Golf Mixed Team: I am using a combined final year ranking of Men and Women rankings, there is not a real mixed team event which can be considered the World Championships, right?

Skateboarding: I have considered 2024 World Games as World Championships, for 2025 I will consider the World Skateboarding Tour (WST) contested in Rome in June, there are no other official "World Championships" right?

Cricket: I am considering Men's and Women's T20 World Cup as the Olympic format World Championships, is that right? @Fly_like_a_don / @Dolby and other :IND users :p  The T20 Men's World Cup was contested before Paris 2024 so I am not including it in 2024 World Championships, the 2026 and 2028 (if contested before LA) will be included.

Baseball: I am considering the World Baseball Classic as the World Championship (contested in 2026), not the Premier12, right? @Topicmaster1010

Table Tennis: I am considering the "Mixed Team World Cup" as World Championships for the new Mixed Team event. Are there any "real" World Championships for that?

Boxing: I am still counting the IBA World Championships as the official World Championships as there are no other options.

Weighlifting: the LA28 Olympic weight classes are still unknown, right?

Coastal Rowing: correct, the Olympic disciplines are those from Beach Sprint CR

Golf: correct, there's no proper event similar to the one that will be contested in LA

Skateboarding: yes, correct

Weightlifting: there should be an official announcement at the times of 2025 World Champs later this year

Boxing: it's already been explained

TT: I have no idea

for what concerns Baseball & Cricket, what's been already written is correct, but there's still to consider the eligibility criteria of the involved athletes, which might be very different from IOC's (especially between World Baseball Classic and the other International events run by WBSC)

as far as I Know, the Cricket Caribbean Premier League (whatever commercial name they use), is more a club championship than a National one and the players don't necessarily always play for their native Island

not sure it should be considered their official selection tournament :mumble:

This is a men's tournament, right? For Women's Twenty20 Blaze is fine?

it's the same principle, it's more a club tournament than a National Championship

maybe our British users know more details, but I'm still pretty sure that the National teams for every Caribbean Nation would be a bit different from the CPL's rosters

in any case, if the question is only about the tournament itself, yes, it's fine, as only the name is different because of the main sponsor

I concur, the CPL is like the IPL and T20 Bash where there are a mix of players from all over the world although I think a lot of the domestic CPL players play for the country they would represent at a games. I think in termsd of who would get the quota, it's most likely gonna be :BAR on both the men's and women's side who take it as they've represented at commonwealth level but the likes of :JAM :ANT :GUY :SKN  :DMA :LCA :TTO  :GRN :BAH and :BER all have outside chances.

But you are talking about the Men's CPL, right? The Women's Twenty20 Blaze looks to be for national teams: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Women's_Twenty20_Blaze

And for the Men, what about West Indies Championship? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/West_Indies_Championship

I am sorry for them but I hope :WIS will not win a medal in the next Men's T20 World Cups :d
