she is an asthmatic, after her effort she had a sudden severe asthma attack, she obviously didn´t have her medicine with her in the pool and collapsed, the paramedics came at the right time

 

The rhing I can not understand is which idiot put her in the same heat with all the likes of McIntosh etc... An Universality swimmer, she had only one goal in her mind, not being humiliated by them and thus went absolute full gaz, if you rewatch the heat, she was even leading after the butterfly leg, but then obviously started to fade completelly and last 50 meters ... yeah, she almost died in the pool... Thanks god she is safe

So while Australia is possible it will basically take a miracle. We need to convert every single chance and hope USA gets upset in a heavy favourite 

The United States needs 3 more gold medals to catch up with Australia and take the lead, and there are 10 events left. In these 10 events at the last Games, the USA won 4 and Australia won 2. So, it's still possible for the USA to finish first, but it's going to be very tough.

Like i said before, USA trials were total failure this time.

They had 12-16 golds from 2004-2020. Now 4, with only 1 certain gold - 800 m W. These Games will almost 100% be their worst in recent history.

I don't think it's too bad. Men's and women's medley relay prelims are in the morning and the mixed medley relay final is at night. A swimmer would have a maximum of one morning and one evening swim which is normal.

Dressel is shockingly bad. Already suspected on day 1 in the relay, that he is not in a good form. If they hadn't given him such a big lead, the Americans would have lost that relay with him on the final leg. 

His form isn't that bad but he doesnt have the aerobic fitness he had before so can't handle a heavy schedule with a heap of doubles like he did in the past. Now he'll rest until the medley relay so will be able to put up a big fly split there.
