Fencing at the Summer Olympic Games Paris 2024

Recommended Posts

Great to see 8 different nations in the semifinal. I don’t know much about fencing, but I would have expected at least one out of China/Japan/USA making a semifinal.

Attachment is the great fabricator of illusions; reality can be obtained only by someone who is detached.

Watching Bazadze vs Amer at 14-14, both screaming their heads off in celebration for the 'winning' point

Edit: oof, Bazadze yelling 'fucking bitch' to the referee. He's gonna be in trouble I assume.

Unpopolar opinion, he was right (not for what he says). I'm sure at 100% that the last point was for him

If the lights light up exactly at the correct moment, he was definitely first, since his light went on first. Not sure if those lights are 100% accurate though?

You mean fencing is different than motor sports?

Oh, cool :d

Interesting that starting the action is more important than actually finishing it first.

    • Spalletti is a much better coach than Gattuso, but what did his team show at the Euro against Switzerland, or in Oslo against Norway? Nothing... I'm afraid that even Guardiola and Klopp wouldn't help here- well, maybe they could somehow push Bosnia through, but what next?
    • Denmark can only blame themselves for that Belarus match. A win and they'd qualify with a game to spare alas...   Gattuso has no business being a manager at this level. Italian problems come from the lack of domestic talent in Serie A but Gattuso ain't gonna fix anything.
