7 months of jail for Petter Northug for recidive.

The court in Oslo send today the former 2 times Olympic champion for repeated speeding and possession of drugs. In addition, he lost his driver's license forever.

It is unbelievable how insanely.....idiotic some people can be. Seriously.

Good thing he'll never get his license again, people with such mental instability are a danger for everyone.

If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! Full story and how to help can be found here!

As I understood, life time in this case means not able to Apply for license for 5 years

First Winter athlete from :TAN Tanzania!

But his time is virtually useless. No chance of Olympic qualification.

Yep, noticed that as well, who knows what happens though if he manages to pick out the right races instead of racing in 'tough' countries like Switzerland (still, I wouldn't bet on it since under 300 at the world championships seems rather....unlikely :p). No chance for a Project Bogota-like thing neither this time.

Pretty good result from Steve Hiestand by the way, also from Manex Silva in the junior race - which I still think is unfair to get the same kind of points as senior races..

Too bad for them they aren't the athletes favoured by the federation, even though Manex is probably the best Brazilian cross-country skier at the moment.

Iversen hardly attack Pellegrino in an interview, I think that he is a complete idiot.

Here, in french: https://www.ski-nordique.net/emil-iversen-pellegrino-ferait-mieux-de-se-taire-et-de-profiter.6356913-72348.html

Maybe Pellegrino wants to battle against the best, Iversen?

When are they back anyway? Said January, so Lahti or Falun...to be fair, didn't really missed them much.

@Werloc Any info on why those Ignalina races keep getting cancelled?

Probably because Lithuania is in self-destruct mode due to Covid and nobody sees this competition with any importance since there would be like 5 athletes anyways.

:RUS Cross-Country Skiing, Ski Jumping and Nordic Combined athletes at the Nordic Skiing WCh will compete under FIS flag (no Russian flags, signs or symbols in the area and FIS anthem played in case of gold), officially confirmed today by Elena Vyalbe former cross country super star and current Russian Nordic Skiing Federation president
