Right, here we go again.

If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! Full story and how to help can be found here!

Jack Crawford didn't hold his nerves too well it seems, unfortunately (but understandably, always difficult when you have to wait half an hour).

bad news from Today's races...

:AUT Nadine Fest heavily crashed in Altenmarkt and injured herself.

a full dignosis is not available yet, even though a shoulder injury was evident before she was carried to the hospital with the helicopter.

:FRA Alexis Pinturault also crashed after a jump in Wengen and needed to be carried to the hospital by helicopter, too.

ACL and possibly a wrist injury is the first response for him, which means his season is over.

luckily, Fest doesn't look to be hurt that bad, only some bruises...she should be able to race already the next speed weekend

First time in forever that my eternal hope for Clarey is definitely not going to work out anymore :(

Paris would be awesome, or a good old Winnerhofer, but yeah, unlikely :d

Yeah, Paris 💪 He is my mother’s favourite skier. She is watching all his races sitting on the edge of her seat 😉 looks like he will be 3rd today

German commentator (and co-commentator Marco Büchel) are angry about there being two downhills both here and in Kitzbühel. Both because it might be too tough on the athletes, but also because it devalues the classics: there should be one Streif winner, one Lauberhorn winner, it becomes less special if there's more of them.

Agree. But canceling half of the DHs and not having where to replace them is also an issue. A season with only 4 DH equally devalues the World Cup.

They tried optimizing the calendar with making technical and speed weekends, but that works when we run everything normally and cancel 7 out of the first 10 events.. Now they can't catch up, because the speed weekends are already stacked up and you can't add to resorts, which are having only GS & Slaloms.

Sarrazin is definitely the revelation of the season. A GS only specialist up to a year ago, who stayed mostly in the European Cup and missed almost 3 full season between 2017 to 2020 is making a breakthrough at 30 years old. :yikes: Currently he is the only guy capable of challenging Odermatt in the speed events. The French are desperately needing a new face to fight for podiums.
