Well, to lighten the mood, i will ask the quintessential question that has bugged me for some time. :d

Do people really wear shoes inside their homes? Or is it a typical american thing, because i always see americans whether on youtube, or in movies to walk inside their homes with shoes? :d

I don't like it when close people and relatives do that, especially when they bring the dirt from under their feet inside. However, when they're not acquaintances you can't really tell them to take off their shoes. :d

I only wear my shoes inside home if I went outside to take my bike to go to the store and remember I forgot something back inside, I'm not taking my shoes off for that :p (or something similar)

Also like Quasit said: mostly when visiting someone, the visitors don't take off their shoes, although there's always a doormat and pretty much everyone makes sure their shoes aren't bringing a ton of dirt into the house (and if the shoes are dirty, they take them off anyway).

As for our personal situation here: on a normal random moment on a normal random day, we're not wearing shoes inside our home :p

so Saudi and UAE football federation already asked AFC to not play in Qatar ! lol he corrupt AFC already let the Saudi teams do that with the Iranian clubs/NTs but this time it's about Qatar. and in west asia almost half teams are from Qatar and Iran !!

since they have money they believe they own the world. we don't play this, we don't play that ! cutting all diplomatic relationships because of small reasons is really stupid, Saudis and that guy Jubeir is playing with fire. and this is a shame that countries like UAE and Egypt have no opinion for themselves and only follow the Saudis like puppets.

btw folks in Iranian government is not sad about this at all, now with this Qatar has to count on Iran as the only "neighbor" with at least diplomatic relationship.

in Iran almost nobody wear shoes inside the house, never, that's a big no no. Eastern culture I believe, beside that people care a lot about their carpets here in Iran. :d

In France visitors never take their shoes off unless their host asked them to, and there is almost always a doormat of course ^^ At home I don't take off my shoes if I just went home and I know I'm going outside again 10 minutes later. But most of the time, no shoes :d

    • Noel- 1st place today after 1 run, Amiez- 3rd place... Vinatzer is a talent similar to Noel, so I ask where are his results, where are the other skiers in the lead of classification? Did they really think they would ride on one Gross and Razzoli until 2026?
    • The problem of the Italian federation is that her system doesn`t work and we can`t afford to lose talents like Colturi. Our slalom does not exist, whether among women or men. We are currently at a level under that Croatia in women and Bulgaria in the men's category. There is no progress, in fact there is regression, because while Vinatzer often didn`t finish runs a few years ago, when he did finish he was able to be in the top. Now he either doesn`t finish or is around 20th place, like now. In the women's category the peak of our abilities is Peterlini, who regularly placed around 20th place in the World Cup... If we can`t afford to invest more than Albania and that with the Winter Olympics in a year at, then I think we can really dissolve our ski sector and focus on something else... If the federation is satisfied with such low levels, let them continue   Btw. maybe it's better investing in private teams like Colturi, if it works? I'd like have 1-2 Colturi in private teams, who will stand on the podiums of the World Cup, than a national team consisting of 5-6 average skiers, who can take 20th place at most, if they finish the race at all...

    • IMO the Italian federation was right in not giving to that financial and political blackmail - had they accepted it, plenty of more established athletes in snow sports could have asked for more under the threat of changing nationality. It's not like they had a sports almanac from the future saying that that 15yo girl would have won 5 olympic gold medals and 5 overall world cups.
    • Allez  He tried to pull this one lots of time and finally managed to go all the way.
    • Nonsense. Chamizo moved to Italy, married an Italian, he's still here after many years and was essentially banned from competing for Cuba. Colturi's tie to Albania is that the Albanian federation had invested a ton of money in her mother's business (élite and very costly academy for young skiers), and then gave her a role, and probably another big salary, as a director in exchange for the pomise of their first winter Olympic medal. A better comparison is to that archer who competed for Ivory Coast because her father had a big clothing business in the country.
