Belgians are mad at some Italian newspaper, because they described the absolutely huge Belgian health minister Maggie de Block as someone who is 140kg :p "Belgium changes how they'll count dead, decides Maggie: minister of 140kg"

Belgians shouldn't be so sensitive about that, since half the Belgian internet is full with De Block memes often focusing on her saying of "Stay in your house" combined with 'or else I'll eat you' :p

I'm almost sure that no any italian knows de Block

UPDATE: I just do a check, it's Affari Italiani, a website. It's a shame call it newspaper :p

tbh, no one of the main Italian nerwspapers wrote a single word about Belgium...

if you read them, they are all about our government imploding on the "restart plans" and the EU help (the infamous MES/Coronabond question, which has now just become an ideological battle, with no interest for the future of our Country, but only the usual small and short term political interests among our political parties)...

then, there's always some room for our football officials (they need to come back playing or 80% of our teams go bankrupt) saying everything and the opposite of everything day after day...and finally, a few reports about Trump and his madness and the danger of an excessive political influence by China...

that's it...no place at all for Maggie...maybe some of the smallest trashy pamphlets (you just can't call them "newspapers") wrote a word or two about Belgium, but frankly answering to their sh*t is only wasted time...

Well yeah, understandable. Badum tss.

And I'm just saying what Belgian media is saying, don't shoot the messenger :d

Apparently the lockdown in Croatia will be lifted in three phases, scheduled for April 27, May 4 and May 11.

Details should be revealed tomorrow. However, if they plan to open hotels and cinemas on May 11, then they are completely out of their minds.

    • You know, but we still don't know what that was about. Ceccarelli has a difficult character but still changing colors to a country with which you have absolute no connetions? What would you say if Iga Swiatek fell out with the Polish tennis federation and started playing for Luxembourg or Andorra? Certainly not everyone would decide to take such a step, even if they had to give in a little in talks with the federation.    Another thing is that the Italian training system simply doesn`t work. As you can see, there are talents but we don`t know how to train them. Since the golden generation born in 1990-1995 (Brignone, Bassino, Goggia) we haven`t trained anyone who would stand on the podium in giant slalom or slalom in World Cup. So something is wrong. At the beginning of the 21st century we had a large group of good giant slalom athletes (maybe not at Brignone's level): Karbon, Moelgg, Putzer, Gius, etc., who were able to win World Cups, win World Championship medals, etc. Now we have no one. Take women's giant slalom for example: if Brignone and Bassino are gone, even getting to the XX World Cup will be a problem for us.
    • I remember that Lara Gut's family also had a conflict with the Swiss federation at the beginning of her career around 2008/2009 but it was resolved. I remember that the family also wanted to have a greater influence on their daughter's career. It was probably similar here. If there was a will from both sides, an agreement should have been reached. Especially since Colturi has zero ties with Albania. Sinner could have played for Austria sooner, as a person from South Tyrol.
    • Berrettini defeated Kokkinakis in 3 set   And now, it's Sinner time.
    • Well, it was to be expected that Colturi was going to have a breakout result like that sooner or later and the state of Italian alpine skiing will create some very long faces. But hey, if Italy  let their "best" prospect walk because of money then it's their fault. If there was some personal feud between Ceccarelli & federation it's even worse.
