[OFF TOPIC] Coronavirus Pandemic

Based on the numbers, looks like Switzerland has done a poor job in containing Coronavirus.

Twice as many cases as Austria and five times as many as Croatia. And we all got the first case on the same day.

Excellent description of South Korea and the Netherlands, respectively.

For Slovakia Every person arriving in Slovakia by plane (slovak or foreigner) is tested directly at the airport, if he / she has an elevated temperature then he / she undergoes more precise tests. Government Regulation working since last week. Random checks and tests are also carried out at the Austrian and Ukrainian borders.

Directly In the country, 211 people have been tested (2 times with all samples send to Germany) who reported being in risk areas or experiencing similar symptoms, all of which have been negative so far.

Obviously it is inevitable Corona will arrive to Slovakia as well sonner or later, everyone knows that, I am just pointing that even if I don´t agree and support our previous government in many cases in this one I must admit we are just really doing some good job in trying to prevent or minimalize the eventual epidemic IMO.

Good to see no cases from Italy they seem to have done a good job of capping new infections...... And with new infections falling in China...... I think it is Iran and South Korea which really need to work on capping fresh infections on a tough basis ..... I believe if they can prevent or reduce the rate we will be able to bring down carona virus as a whole.....

    • We´ll see. anyway, I hope hope so.   It was her first career senior bout, maybe a bit too early, to be thrown in the lion´s den, but if all this will result in a medal in LA 28 I am all in

    • @hckošice, even though Tomankova lost, she had a good fight against Costa, I think soon she and Babulfath will be the stars of -48kg.

    • Yeah, we have such a strong crop of Juniors, that we can’t take them all. They all have exciting trajectories but to predict what Junior swimmers will is always difficult. Better to let them all swim together at Juniors than rocketing them all up to seniors and swimming a prelim and going home.
    • Hanlon is the most unlucky, in my opinion. Aside from relay cover, she's the 50m champ and they made a point of including consideration for those events being in LA for the other discretionary picks. Essentially she has the same case for selection as Max Morgan (albeit without the trajectory right now).   Blocksidge's form was way off this week (compared to her previous bests). Obviously being still young you could put that down to relative inexperience. Still, she has World and European Juniors that she could still be selected for this summer. There's an argument that performing well at those might be as beneficial as going to Singapore.   That said, I'm happy that they did take a bunch of discretionary picks. That's not always been the case.
