Best Sports Moments of The (Correct) Decade From 2010-2019

Recommended Posts

Personally, the best moment of this decade has been the 2015 Eurobasket semifnal Spain vs France with 40 points of Pau Gasol:

If we consider also 2010, the football World Cup final against the Netherlands was another incredible moment.

Because of 2010 being part of the decade or because of the result of the match?

300th medal in the Olympic history of :POL was very special to me. (It's not 300th anymore as our athletes got some medals after doping DSQs later on).

Obviously because of the match and Spain's winning goal after the referee didn't give the Netherlands a corner despite Casillas very clearly being the last one to touch the ball before it crossed the line :p

    • I still shocks, that a country of 4-5 million inhabitants? can be a powerhouse in almost every winter sport + handball, football (most recently with Haaland) and athletics: Ingebrigtsen, Warholm, etc. With such a small population, they can't be missing out on any major talent, surely? This must be the best training system in the world...
    • FIFA announced the stadium and time for each match   for  Iran, it will be 2 matches in LA (and not just 1) and 1 in Seattle and luckily we avoided playing in Canada. absolutely nothing against the country, but there are just too many douchebag Iranian groups in Vancouver trying to mix everything with their stupid politics. it's better to stay away from them.   that can happen in US too but less likely. playing in LA is more like playing at home, at least I hope so. 2022 Qatar was a disaster from our point of view, hopefully this one remains only about football.

    • I don't think he'll mind too much
    • But his time isn`t valid at track record.
    • Vladimir Semirunniy dropped a 12:28 in the 10000m B division, which qualifies him for the Olympics as the fastest time this season (with the big asterisk that it was done in a quad start). Must be a real relief for the Polish team given he isn't looking likely to qualify for the 10000m (or the 5000m) by ranking.   Really problematic that they rank pair start and quad start times together, but whatever.   Also, the Wikipedia page for qualification is updated through the second day.
