Vektor 3,195 Posted August 13, 2023 #121 Share Posted August 13, 2023 It looks like the medal ceremonies will take place before the evening sessions, or at least that's what Eurosport's streaming schedule shows us at the moment.
Vektor 3,195 Posted August 13, 2023 #122 Share Posted August 13, 2023 Everything is at near completion now, they are building the spectator zone and the medal plaza at the stadium. There will be a second spectator zone at Erzsébet Square. maestro and Josh

So assume that Kerley has been entered as a reserve but won't take to the start line unless one of the other 4 drop out. I think USA have done this in a couple of events. dullard

It seemed like the Nigerian press were confusing her being on the entry list with her being cleared to compete. There also seems a habit of boosterism from Nigerian media sources. not the first time an unusually positive spin has been put on some issue or other - I vaguely remember stuff about Blessing Okagbare being about to be cleared, when in fact she couldn't have been more bang to rights if they'd found a needle in her arm. dullard and Josh 1
Vektor 3,195 Posted August 14, 2023 #130 Share Posted August 14, 2023 (edited) I think it's too early to say something definitive about the weather for the second half of the Worlds, but it's safe to say at this point that we can expect some intense heat for the first weekend. There might be around 30 Celsius during the men's 100m final. Edited August 14, 2023 by Vektor
