Disaster, :VEN upsets :HUN in men's epee.... we got one of the most talented team with two World Champions and this happens. Why do we have to make the qualification hard for ourselves?

korea, kazakhstan and venezuela in the top 4 it's a disaster for hungary france italy

We have to save the day by getting the 5th place in men's epee. And then hope that at least two out of :ITA  :FRA  :HUN  will be in the Top4 on the Olympic ranking after all the World Cup events are done. We can be in deep shit if :KOR and :VEN win against :FRA and :ITA today.

france and italy have the advantage to go to the final, and let's hope that kazakhstan finishes 8th

Our main hope in men's epee is that we will still be Top4 on the WR after the Worlds. And the same will apply to France and Italy. Which means the top three European teams will have a chance to turn this around in the last 4 World Cup events.

Women's foil team lost against the US, will play for the 5-8th places.

Men's foil team will fence against Chile in the Round of 16, should be an easy win for Poland.

Womens team still have good shot for Olympics?

Yes. If Egypt gives up on the African quota, you will easily qualify. If they go for it, you will have to fight for the European quota against Germany.

It's very difficult for :FRA against :USA in the semi-finals... Ysaora Thibus seems to really struggle in these world championships.

Okay she was imperial for the last relay.

Overall, there's a lot to do, for example, compared to Budapest, but unfortunately, this is Italy How many years has Roma been building their new stadium, and they keep pushing back the completion date- now I read it's 2030? and it should be ready. The same goes for Milan- there should be a modern complex of indoor swimming pools with 50 meters pools, etc., but there's a problem with one stupid football stadium, which will only be built after an ultimatum from UEFA

She wasn’t a top-tier athlete in that program anymore. She was at the end of her career. I would personally would rather race against Katie. She’s not as competitive as the other athletes,” he said. “It’s probably really unfair to say and not really where I want to go with this but that’s where we are with that.”   Uhlaender: “If I were Canada, I would be concerned in how this coach is representing the Olympic values for his country,” Uhlaender told Fox News Digital. “He hurt a whole field of athletes, all with dreams, and this sends the message that they don’t matter unless they are number one. All athletes matter, and we all deserve to compete fairly, with integrity, and respect. He did not respect anyone in that field. “This is not about my resume or how good the athletes were in the race. This is about the fact that he intentionally manipulated the competition to hurt myself and 13 other countries because he felt it necessary to eliminate all possibility. That is against the spirit of sport and not what the Olympic movement represents.”   Isn't it great when other people's dirty laundry is aired?  /sarcasm     (I was a little surprised to see NPR pick this up, but per this article, Uhlaender preemptively recorded the phone call after receiving a text from Cecchini that said he had 'bad news' for her.)
