Lack of opposition is a basic symptom of autocracy. Adding also the personal cult show made during the last IOC Session, it seems we can start talking about the Olympic Reich instead of Committee.

It is indeed a pretty bad look. The IOC doesn’t seem to like having dissenting voices be heard.

Oh damn, they’re actually going after Belarus.

 

Lukashenko banned from the Olympic Games.

 

No, financial support outside of that for athletes.

 

Belarus cannot host or bid for IOC events.

One would presume the exact same treatment (whichever one it will be) goes for protests that have to do with for example the Uyghur or Tibet situations? Protest is protest, after all.
