already gone! Roest sub 6.09

Ghiotto once again faded in the last 4 laps in a 5k race...:nopompom:

To be fair, Ghiotto is the kind of rider who needs a fast start. He could start a bit easier, but most likely wouldn't go faster in the end, so this is quite likely the way he gets to the fastest finishing time. And let's be fair to Ghiotto man, it was a sensationally good race from him, again!

Such a shame Eitrem wasn't there, but still with Ghiotto and Roest we saw two fantastic races.

Wiklund was great as well, too bad the team sprints like usual felt like a bit of a flop :p

yeah, nothing against Ghiotto's style of racing (actually, I prefer people like him if compared to those calculators going negative split)...

yesterday he was great, but still, he faded a bit too much (like in the pre-Olympic medal over 10k era).

I don' think he could have won it going before Roest, but he would have made the last 2 laps more interesting (like Roest vs Van Der Poel in Beijing).

in any case, 2 exciting races (women's too).
