Still have a lot to watch, especially international movies. Now that Oscar season is over, I'll try to catch up. Some of the films in my watchlist include: The Boy and the Heron, Close Your Eyes, The Delinquents, The Goldman Case, Green Border, La Chimera, Menus Plaisirs - Les Troisgros, The Missing, Origin, The Taste of Things, Tótem.

I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on those three at some point. La Chimera and Tótem got overlooked during awards season, but both I thought rather highly of both. La Chimera is one of those films I find myself thinking about for a long while after my first watch.

Jesse Eisenberg said he applied for Polish citizenship 9 months ago and apparently the paperwork only needs the president's signing. He has been given PESEL already (aka our version of a social security number).

His family immigrated from Eastern Poland to USA after World War II.

Sean Baker's Anora wins the Palme d'Or. Grand Prix went to Payal Kapadia's All We Imagine As Light

Cannes seemed like a bit of a mixed bag this year based on critical reactions, but still a handful of films I'd like to see when they get released.

Busy few weeks in competitive feature film coming up. TIFF, Venice and San Sebastián all on the docket.

I'm still trying to get through everything I missed over the summer, so it might be a while before I'm ready to watch anything from the fall festivals.
