Then they should not participate if they don't like it. :p Was there any other candidate?

No other candidates! Bit hypocritical of Norway and Denmark to vote against it and then not out themselves up for hosting it!

What's hypocritical about that?

I may not want a party of a group of friends to be at friend A's place, but that doesn't have to mean I want to host it myself..

I guess we can scratch sailing from possible sports.. :p

And they should absolutely scratch swimming and athletics if otherwise it would be some B-competition again...better not have swimming at all than have a junior competition at the Games :p

C´mon The athletics was one of the highlights of Baku 2015.:d One of the most exciting event of the whole sport history, :d Everything was open untill the very lasts 4x400 relays, I remember this crazy mens relay and how Austria lost the baton...

Pity everything was later destroyed by a doped Azeri...

EG will always be a joke... It does not seem that it ever will get any respect and get in to same level as Pan American or Asian Games. Hopefully 2019 will be the last edition, otherwise we will be always stuck at Eastern part of Europe to host it.

It'a only the start.. All big events aren't the best in the frist edition. I hope that they'll continue to grow

    • I still shocks, that a country of 4-5 million inhabitants? can be a powerhouse in almost every winter sport + handball, football (most recently with Haaland) and athletics: Ingebrigtsen, Warholm, etc. With such a small population, they can't be missing out on any major talent, surely? This must be the best training system in the world...
    • FIFA announced the stadium and time for each match   for  Iran, it will be 2 matches in LA (and not just 1) and 1 in Seattle and luckily we avoided playing in Canada. absolutely nothing against the country, but there are just too many douchebag Iranian groups in Vancouver trying to mix everything with their stupid politics. it's better to stay away from them.   that can happen in US too but less likely. playing in LA is more like playing at home, at least I hope so. 2022 Qatar was a disaster from our point of view, hopefully this one remains only about football.
