just watched Jon Ridgeon, iaaf's CEO, reaching the highest levels ever seen in the not so new discipline "mirror climbing" in an interview on the BBC...:wall:

I know he has to defend his (and his buddies) choices, but frankly he was just pathetic while trying to find any sort of excuse to justify this championship being held in Qatar (and the future even more controversial places they're going to visit sooner or later) and the new mixed 4*400m relay...

and there are still a lot of people around the world asking why athletics is dying and losing appeal year after year?...:pope:

however, the Pyeongchang 2018 schedule makers are still a full lap ahead...waiting for those in Tokyo to overtake them on the finish line and win this particular race...:wall:

but what was exactly the point of this 1 and half hour break interruption inside one single evening session ? Was there some camel race national league final scheduled today what would steal the attention of domestic viewers ?

To be fair, Tokyo's schedule is heavily influenced by the expected inhumane weather conditions. Those Games should have always been planned for October.

Maybe they need a break for their Muslim prayer or sth like that? IAAF can't be more important than the Prophet?

sure it is...as all the winter Games schedules are influenced by the many sports that can't be contested without the sun light...

but still, they could have done a much better work also keeping into consideration all the climatic issues...
