Summer Olympic Games Los Angeles 2028 Sports Programme Road to LA 2028

We are looking at around 108 athletes in each gender for a 6 team tournament.
Say around 216 athletes for both genders, if its a 6 team tourney.

even less...

with the T20 format, it's 15 players each team (the 2/3 stand-by players could be "outside village" guys, like the fencing teams' reserves, and become official players only if and when they replace someone else), so 90 per gender for a 6-team tournament (which would be a farce, I hope they have at least 8 -2 groups of 4 + semis and medal matches, just to give the tournament a fair development)

so, officially it could be 180 or 240 total players (depending if it's a 6 or 8-team tournament, both genders included)

Rumours are that cricket will miss out for 2028 but baseball/softball and flag football will win a place.

Flag football must be considered a surprise.

Where are the quotas going to come for. We are going to have like 4 entries for some events

Unless, they have changed the rules again. And the additional sports don't count in the 10,500 athletes limit.

I'm now being told breaking will be in for 2028 as well.

If your source(s) are correct, they've really missed a trick leaving off Cricket. The amount of revenue it would generate would put it up there with the likes of Football and Athletics, and with the new league starting up in America (that's already attracting a few big name international players) the sport could be way more popular come 2028. Also, the T20 format is really easy to follow and leads to some exciting matches that would get people from non cricketing countries wanting to go.

Baffled by the decision to keep Breaking. The sport maybe a bit exciting at first but I don't think it has legs to go far and could end up being one of the least profitable sports at every games' it's included.

Finally, if the IOC want to include more team sports they need to increase the athlete quota by 1,500 - 2,000. Other sports are being bled dry and team sports themselves, existing and the ones coming in, are being extremely limited as to how many countries are competing.

It’s hard to understand for Cricket lovers how boring and incomprehensible Cricket is to most people. I say this as someone who enjoys Cricket.

    • (Quiet gaming, zero social pressure, no calls, no KYC… just peace.) As someone who’s definitely on the introverted side, I’ve always hated anything that feels intrusive — long registrations, support calls, verification uploads, or sites that spam you into interacting. So over the past year, I tested a bunch of crypto casinos specifically to see which ones are introvert-friendly: ✔ no forced KYC ✔ fast payouts (so no long back-and-forth with support) ✔ clean, quiet UI ✔ no pop-ups and no social pressure ✔ easy deposits ✔ minimal interaction needed Below is what actually worked for me. ⭐ My Top Crypto Casinos for Introverts (Real Testing Results) Casino Why It’s Introvert-Friendly Speed Link JackBit Quiet UI, no KYC, instant payouts 7 min 👉 Play at JackBit BetWhale Low-pressure bonuses, simple layout 14 min 👉 Play at BetWhale BitStarz Fast cashouts, no forced conversations 9 min 👉 Play at BitStarz ThunderPick Clean minimalist design 18 min 👉 Play on ThunderPick 7Bit Casino Extremely chill, no notifications 22 min 👉 Play at 7Bit 1. • It's not a coincidence that a lot of the matches that are earlier in the day are in Atlanta and Houston and Dallas where they have roofs.  And most of the games in the outdoor stadiums are later in the day.
    • The best athletes will all be there anyway – it's easier to get a spot in the top 10-15. Only the great champions were ahead of Gismondi today.
    • They are not "oppressed enough" to be mention here.
    • And remember the Olympic Paradox - it is slightly easier to get a medal at the Olympics than at a World Cup because in the Olympics the numbers of racers from the powerful nations are capped at 4.
    • Jimmy Mariano  basketball. 84 years old.   Member of the Philippine men’s basketball team at the 1972 Summer Olympics. Flag bearer for the Philippine delegation at those Games.
    • Franchi had a similarly impressive performance at the 2023 World Championships on the same distance but later she completly missing. I hope that with Gismondi will be different, especially since she was already a great talent in her junior years. The problem in Italy is that for the past 15 years, aside from Pellegrino, there has been a miss of stability in other athletes: there are some booms of excellent form, but later they disappear. I also worry that funding for cross-country skiing will be cut after the Cortina Olympics.
    • The last day was a great success, for first. Secondly, even 20 medals are fewer than the 22 from 2023 and 34 from 2021
