2008 "WADA list, while not naming methylhexanamine specifically, included it under a broad category with - "tuaminoheptane and other substances with a similar chemical structure or similar biological effect(s)".

And this is why I'll never be a fan of athletics, swimming, cycling or weightlifting... 50% of the results are a joke and big farce. I can't take them seriously.

I wonder which sports I could be a fan of then. There are at least serious controls....in contrast to sports like football where the entire anti-doping is the biggest joke in the world.

I think most of the world is doped in every sport, but at least those which aren't "mark sports" aren't all about physical condition (there's tactics, styles, etc). In weightlifting, athletics, etc it's all about who is the strongest/fastest and that is 100% up to how much and how sophisticated they dope. Thanks god my country sucks in all of them otherwise I wouldn't enjoy success to the fullest.

In the end, almost all sports are partly decided by that. Take football: sure, tactics and styles are important, but use doping and you'll be able to keep running longer and longer and more importantly, you'll be able to use your supreme techniques longer. I've seen plenty of matches with teams like Barcelona, Valencia or Juventus where they just kept going and going and going as if they'd never be tired...honestly I think football has the most doping of every sport, simply because it's by far the most "financial sport" and the interests are so incredibly huge there.

No way FIFA will ever implement a decent anti-doping regulation and they will never get anywhere near IAAF, UCI, FINA (they might not be good, or even be bad, but at least they test).

My problem with sports like weightlifting is that the results indeed often change because of doping tests. The good thing is: they test.

My problem with sports like football and other major sports is that their fans are so blind and naive when it comes to doping. "No, it's a technical sport, we don't need doping." Oh please.

    • more countries added to the list of US ban    you can't travel to USA if you are from : burkina faso , niger , Laos , South sudan , mali , sierra leon ...
    • Yes, but what I mean for Serbia is that everything changed there (unfortunately for us ). 2022 was an unbelievable mess, that's not the case anymore now with just one athlete who has really gone for it and made it, so I'm 99% sure they'll accept it this time.   Who knows though. Plus there's always 1-2 bigger countries here or there who reject something, but it's not gonna be 16 places I'm afraid
    • Doping by Event Type When we look at which events have the most doping cases, a few categories stand out from recent sanction records: Long Distance (3,000m and above): 32% of cases Sprints (400m or less): 24% of cases Jumps: 12% of cases Javelin: 8% of cases Middle Distance (800m–1,500m): 8% of cases Hammer: 8% of cases Steeplechase (3,000m SC): 4% of cases
    • From 2020 to 2025    These three countries alone make up almost two-thirds (61.9%) of all current doping violations in athletics worldwide. It’s worth noting that 199 of World Athletics’ 214 member federations have no athletes on the current ban list. This means the problem is really concentrated in a small number of places. Here’s a look at the top countries: Rank Country Total Violations Percentage Region 1 Kenya 119 24.74% Africa 2 India 108 22.45% Asia 3 Russia 73 15.18% Europe 4 China 26 5.40% Asia 5 Turkey 20 4.16% Europe 6 Italy 18 3.74% Europe 7 South Africa 18 3.74% Africa 8 Ukraine 17 3.53% Europe 9 United States 16 3.33% North America 10 Morocco 15 3.12% Africa
