Women's Field Hockey FIH World Cup 2018

6-0, and a really tough lesson from the Dutch girls. Still super proud of our team, a team of amateurs who apart from a couple of players, all have full-time jobs outside of the sport. And they had to make huge sacrifices and pay their own way in order to compete.

A silver medal is a fantastic achievement :)

By now the highest score in the final have been only 3:0 in 1986. Just saying.

So Dutch team doubled it. But still Irish team is the biggest revelation of this tournament. And a big hope for Polish, also half-amateur field hockey - if one can, so can the others.

    • I still shocks, that a country of 4-5 million inhabitants? can be a powerhouse in almost every winter sport + handball, football (most recently with Haaland) and athletics: Ingebrigtsen, Warholm, etc. With such a small population, they can't be missing out on any major talent, surely? This must be the best training system in the world...
