Absolutely ridiculous. The men are allowed to be in the top 60 but the women top 45 only? What kind of gender equality is this? I feel really bad for the :ISV athlete. Always being screwed by her governing body. @Olympian1010

Especially after the bizarre interpretation of the rules that allowed Frimpong in last time;  was it the "clean list" or something so that 60 was really 100.

Same is true in many events where there are more men than women on the circuit - ski jumping, ski & board cross, slopestyle etc etc.

Annnnnnd she's out

Skeleton in France is kind of dead, but the federation, who does nothing to bring it back to life, seemingly assess that preventing any TV coverage is better than putting the sport in the spotlight, even if the athlete doesn't deliver.

So now for the real question, what happens if Stratton isn’t selected by :SWE?

the event will be held with less than 25 participants, even though there are athletes in the top 60 (like the men) that could fill it.

Any word if Katie will be appealing @Olympian1010

Not convinced they will. Sweden tends to be strict in sports they are good at, but they also tend to be open minded to new sports and new athletes.

    • I think they incorrectly translated Ukrainian word "nahorody" - it is not a full synonym of "medal". Its cocrrect translation is "award". Meanwhile russian tennis playes switched for Potapova ->  Rakhimova ->
    • Ukrainian diver Lyskun switches allegiance to Russia, loses all medals | Olympics News | Al Jazeera   'loses all medals'   I would assume Al Jazeera could have been a bit clearer and mention this would presumably only be national medals. I mean, it's not like the Ukrainian federation, or any single federation for that matter, has the power to strip her of her world and European championships medals I hope (not for her sake, but because that would be a super weird precedent)
