That event was about like the halfpipe tonight. Not a lot of clean runs.

News Flash  Team Event will be held tomorrow at 9:00 local

Assuming the conditions allow it, of course :/

Glad they are trying at least.

It's debatable whether this event deserves a place at the Olympics. IMO, it definitely does not deserve to be scheduled for the final, primetime weekend. That one must belong to slalom.

Really? They we wouldn’t have seen the Slalom here at these Olympics and that would be really bad.

I meant in general, the scheduling.

Team event getting scheduled as the final event both here and in Pyeongchang is too anticlimactic.

Wind will not be that better Tommorrow, but it is the best way to start as early as possible in the morning. At 12am local time wind up to 12m/s

Interesting argument.  Some think the team figure skating team event should also be done last.  But it's surely done first becaus USA/NBC TV needs some figure skating to fill up the first two nights of broadcasts before the Opening Ceremony.

I think having the least prestigious event last makes a lot of sense for this sport because... well, you saw what happened today and what might happen tomorrow. We either have the team event scheduled for the last weekend, or we shouldn't have any alpine skiing for the last two days. It's too dangerous, you always need a couple of days for a potential delay because the Games has to end on Day 16, no matter what.

It was Great Britain. Surprising since with Ryding, Guest and Major there was a small chance for an upset. But maybe someone tested positive.

Nope it was decided days ago for some reason. I don’t get why.

But then again, slalom has often offered plenty of drama on the final weekend. Sometimes the final day itself. It never got cancelled. Weather fears should not be taken into account years in advance.

Meanwhile, since the women's tech events got held last week, several of the top skiers did not even bother to stay in Beijing to ski for their teams (Hector, Vlhova, Dubovska). It's a joke. Unworthy of the Olympic program when even the athletes are not bothering.

    • Juniors were there recently and the track was awful   Although that's not necessarily bad. Tracks don't all need to be fast, a slow track (like the horribly slow one in Poland) simply favors a different style of athletes. Training a lot there doesn't really give much extra advantage though, not like in sliding sports where of course as host country you make sure your athletes know every single meter a year before the Olympics.    And to get back on topic: speed skater Elisa Dul broke her tibia and fibula in a training fall yesterday and will obviously be out of the OQT and so the Olympics.
    • The PSL race in Davos was (yet another) insult to a beautiful discipline. The red course (which was actually yellow) had several holes and an exposed ice sheet, which made the athletes slide way too long, causing DNFs or massive time losses.
