Slovenia and Austria both with 2 medals while Germany didn't win a single medal. The odds for that must have been negative. What's next? Germany wins 2 individual medals in figure skating while Japan and Russia don't win a single one?

The most predictable gold of the games :d Bravo Ester ! :CZE

Insane how a girl who ride on snowboard maybe like "5 days per year" is unbeatable in this :p

This is a very shallow pool of competitors alright. Hardly a chance some 19yo wonder kid comes along to be a new force like it happens in freestyle or figure skating. Ledecka can probably dominate PGS until she is 40 years old. I mean even Poland can get a Top 10 in this event

Slovenia is having a roll in 2022!

They already were on a roll last year (Pogacar, Roglic, Doncic, the speed climber). The good thing is that the medals they won at the winter olympics (except the gold in women's ski jumping) were won in a fair/believable way (unlike their cycling medals).

Thanks for training with our guys prior to the olympics. At least a little bit of these two medals are down to you guys.

Probably your athletes thought after training "If those chokers/mental dwarfs can do it, we can surely do it to" (and they were right).

    • I think it's already slowly happening. These things happen on their own, not because someone decides to.
    • The think about you writing about is rarer but that doesn't mean that you can belittle, for example, Obama, who won twice in a row. What was he supposed to do at that time? Deliberately lose in 2012 so he could run in 2016? He couldn't have run more than twice. In Trump's case, it's more the downfall of the USA itself: first of all, the lack of credible and capable leaders at a younger age. After all, what happened in 2020 in elections was a parody: two old guys (one with dementia, the other clown with numerous court judgments). Then you wonder why Putin and the leader from China aren't afraid of the USA, since they have such incompetent people as opponents. It hurts me a lot because in the 90s I admired the USA and Clinton was a role model od modern leader in Europe and now? Looking at their elections and their leaders I just smile bitterly.
