and here we go with the fuc*in' 8th seed in the team event

which means having the bracket closed at quarterfinal stage by :JPN  and a very complicated repechage/Bronze medal game route, too :hairpull:

Same goes for :NED on 7th seed, facing home favorites :FRA in the quarterfinal. No way we are beating them in Paris, if we even reach the QF:facepalm:

AIN qualifiers also be checked before allowing them to compete?

Yes. Atheltes mentioned in Ukrainian letters to the IOC as war-supporters are here

No need to despair guys, wait for the draw , only the top 4 teams are seeded.

really? I thought it was 8, like at the world champs :mumble:

however, it might be even worse, as we could pick someone very strong (like :BRA or :UZB) already in the first round and miss out on the repechage bracket

probably, it would be better the 8-seed bracket...no chance to go beyond the quarterfinals, but at least the repechage round would be almost safe (unless pickin' :KOR in round #1, but that would mean we're extremely unlucky )

19 teams in the team event is pretty wild

19 teams and over 100 nations represented. Crazy.

    • There are things I find pathetic, but saying a competition is unnecessary right after you don't qualify for it is the typical display of a loser. Pietro Maschio, when Conegliano qualifies for the Club World Cup next time, should refuse to participate like the Polish clubs do and stop spouting nonsense.
    • The biggest surprise is that Ranefur (rank 70) won over LSD!
    • Never wanted something to be more wrong then I did now... synchronized skating and no ice cross    And of course we'll probably win the gold medal in it because it's a sport that I hate, the same thing happened with "breaking" aka breakdancing in 2024.
    • No surprise — it’s the result of months of controversy, including media backlash. It all started with the federation’s decision not to select Romei, who is very close to Costantini, for the Olympic Games, and to call up Rebecca Mariani instead. In recent months, the Romeo/Costantini duo allegedly tried to push out Lo Deserto as well, and these are the results…
