Jan Linha 507 Posted May 8 #685 Share Posted May 8 Hammer Thrower Volodymyr Myslyvchuk, originally from has been living for quite some time in the Czech Republic and in January, he obtained Czech citizenship. Recently, he threw 77,31 m which means limit for ECH in June. Now, Czech athletic federation is dealing with WA whether he can represent at the ECH this year. I checked his ranking, he is currently 31st in Road to Paris and his last throw was only less than a meter from the strict limit to Paris. Do you guys think he may get an approval for ECH? If so, if he throws 78,20m or qualifies to Paris through the Olympic ranking, could he represent ??? I know the timing is quite tight and I remember that before there were some rules that you have to represent your new country for a year or two? Not quite sure..... before you can qualify for the Olympics representing your new country. Does anybody how is it right now before Paris? I also noticed some athletes, weightlifters switched to citizenship and qualified to Paris but I don't know how long ago they changed the nationality. Thanks. I expect Mawdsley will qualify in the women’s too so it might end up being 2 individuals, 5 women relay runners, 2 men relay runners Pasolini

The last international event he competed representing that I could found was the 2018 Euros. Three years has passed since that, so he wouldn't have any problems to represent another country. Now it's only waiting until WA gives the thumbs up. We spaniards are in the same scenario waiting for former Yulemnis Aguilar is given the green ligth in time for the ECH cause she already has spanish nationality. So it's about being at an international events and representing the country. So if he did not participate in other competitions where he would represent another country since 2018, so it should be fine, right. So now, let's hope Myslyvchuk and Aguilar get the green light from WA and can participate in ECH and possibly also at the Olympics 💪💪💪
