Poll 98/100 | If you are granted 3 wishes to come true for the Tokyo Olympic Games what would you wish?

Recommended Posts

It can be anything like a particular athlete or team winning a medal or finishing above a position , it can be regarding athlete safety, health etc.

I really want Larisa Iordache to win a medal in beam final because she really deserved that. She was struggling with so many injury and I hope that her dream will be come true.

1) No positive Covid test for the athletes, stuff member, official etc.

2) No Covid anywhere

3) Poland beats USA in the medal table

1) No more COVID related withdrawal after the opening

2) Hendra Setiawan winning badminton gold

3) Some random people assaulted Bach when he is watching at the sport venues, preferably using a golf car

1. Churandy Martina winning a gold medal, because I don't know any top athlete who has more of a 'life is good, even when the sports part doesnt work out' attitude than him.

2. No more COVID-related withdrawals for athletes who even aren't actually sick.

3. Gold medals (or medals) for athletes who have a good story behind them: veterans who always missed out on the gold (or a medal), athletes who nobody expected to win, athletes who went through hard personal times (think Jenny Rissveds, who, as she said, 'Three years ago did not even want to be alive anymore', but managed to recover in an impressive fashion), and so on. Sideris Tasiadis, whose girlfriend died the year before Rio, is another example of that.

angry episode 9 GIF

No more Covid 19 related withdrawals.

After 4 silvers in the history I wish Sweden ’s men handball team wins gold.

I wish not too many doping cases

1) no more covid-19. Just abolish the virus completely, everywhere. Pretty please?

2) a new medal record for the Netherlands (>25 medals)

3) incredible performances from all the veterans that have brought Dutch sport some of its greatest moments of the past decade: Epke Zonderland, Dafne Schippers, Ranomi Kromowidjojo, Femke Heemskerk, Anna van den Breggen, Marianne Vos, Eva de Goede, Lidewij Welten.

- Italy's M4X (Rowing) winning Gold in memory of Filippo Mondelli (who passed away because of cancer a few weeks ago)

- Rikako Ikee (JPN, Swimming) winning a medal...as most of you already know her personal story

- Everything else going on "naturally", without too many covid cases, with exciting and entertaining competitions and the less corrupted/doped medallists as possible...

    • Yeah. It was pretty bad that they cancel the contract with the original creative director after 7 months of work. I feel like politics, in this particular context of the changing of prime minister and the cabinet, may had caused changes in organizational decisions regarding the Sea Games including the direction of the opening ceremony.
    • That's what I figured.  Wouldn't be a proper lead up to an Olympics without some media-fueled fearmongering.
    • Today : Jordan 3-0 Egypt  This team will surprise us
    • option no.2 for sure, as it's been all this shitstorm organized by the nhl owners through their embedded reporters   ps not that the north american audience looks really aware of the hockey rules and habits outside the nhl (and around their game, too, since they look not to know that just a couple of weeks ago they played 2 nhl matches on an ice sheet of the exact same size of Milan's olympic arena)
    • Are we supposed to take Daly's word for it or is this just public posturing to try and shame the Milan organizers (which they certainly deserve for all the delays) in order to threaten NHL participation?
