Is this or every other topic on this subforum now going to be one guy constantly arguing with entire board about how he feels the games should be canceled or how there's going to be some sort of covid disaster and we're all going to die. I mean, come on. If they don't want to ban him which should have done months ago just stop interacting with the guy who obviously isn't registered here to communicate in good faith.

Well, at some point, yes, it is decision on Japanese government, but also on the other hand, Japanese government must fully cooperate with IOC on this and be ready to make "exceptions" .... people work hard to get to Olympics for 2-3 years and then they test covid positive which might even be a fake positive? And might be the only chance to get to the Olympics? .....

The opposition parties in Japan would nothing more than to portray the Japanese government as more interested in the IOC than health risks of the public .

For the moment. However, in X years from now, nobody will be like "That dude won Olympic gold...oh yeah, but it was because these and these others weren't there."

True. Nobody says that about the 1980 and 1984 games.

Djoković actualy stated that his conversation with Blanka Vlašić from Croatia helped him decide to go in Tokyo. She said to him that in 10 years nobody will remember anything but who won medals.
