Sadly the Netherlands is one of the dummy options, as we don't have any athletes in karate and wrestling.

 

I don't follow contact sports much, so I just guessed safely for France, Italy and Germany.

I know except Judo, China will win medals in other 4 sports. But I guess most probably we don't win a medal in Judo, maybe W78+kg with a little possibility.

Japan will for sure win medals in wrestling judo and karate. In boxing they will likely get at least one medal due to host bias and taekwondo maybe.

oh boy. Iran had the potential (not a great chance in boxing but still) but thanks to our Mongolian hero and future Nobel prize winner Marius Vizer we won't have anybody in Judo in this Olympics and the next one and most probably in 2028 and 2032 and counting ...

all the other Nation have at least 1 black hole...

 

by the way, ITA and FRA only have 1 real shot in Wrestling...so, it will be difficult also for them...RUS and TUR are the only safe picks...

Russia has only one athlete in karate, doesn't seem too safe (btw karate is 3 or 4 medals?). 

 

Why not Azerbaijan as well? Or am I missing something? They have Beigi in TKD and a legion in all others.

The more I think about this poll, the more I see the chance than no competing country in the Olympic will win a medal in all of the combat sports. And I think that shows the intensity and level of competition in all of those sports.

      many athletes didn't get their visa 2  Schengen , canada , usa ...do it all the time  it's a new strategy to increase the chance of medals

      Yep, I actually think this Schwaller team is only just getting better every single year, and there’s not many viable options at third and fourth in the Swiss women’s curling scene, there’s only some good but not great players.   If Paetz and Tirinzoni both retire before the next quadrennial (likely for Tirinzoni, she said at the end of last year that the recent GSOC event would be her last) then Berset-Witschonke-Howald-Hurlimann is the best you can do and I don’t think the firepower is there. If Paetz keeps going, and it’s Witschoke-Howald-Hurlimann-Paetz then it’ll be interesting, but it’s also hard to predict.

      The Canucks have started their tank this season and now we’re awful, so I’ll only be watching when the playoffs start  at least we get a guaranteed top 3 pick, but even that probably won’t go our way.   Fencing WC’s are interesting yep, if I can find a stream and if our top fencers are competing or make it to the R16 or further.    Speaking of basketball, I forgot about NBA
