  1. German heptathletes Mareike Arndt and Louise Grauvogel were involved in a car accident on the way from the Olympic Stadium to their hotel and are taken to Hospital. So far, there are no informations about their injuries. Of course they can't compete at the 800 metres.
  2. Gesa Krause in 3000 Metres Steeplechase (though of course it's a comparatively new discipline). It was at the ISTAF in 2017 and is even more recent than Vetter's and Klosterhalfen's records.
  3. Heinle's fourth attempt was definitely meassured wrong. He jumped more than 8 metres, and it was measured as 7,77 metres.
  4. Kaul's forecast is actually a strange mix between junior results and his results at the "grown ups". He already ran 14,55 with Senior hurdles this year, by the way, in the German u-23 Championships. I don't think he will do so today, but I hope for something in the 14,6s. And he definitely won't throw 48 metres with discus today. Something about 43 metres would already be excellent for him. On the other hand: He can throw the Javelin far over 70 metres.
  5. Still, the times of Wellbrock and Romanchuk were almost on par with Paltrinieri's PB. He wasn't much faster in his career.
  6. These are placing points. The winner of a race gets one point, the runner up two points and so on.

  8. "We hope to have this Service back up and running." Well, that makes me really optimistic now.
  9. I voted yes. But they need to completely change the scoring system, like Figure Skating did.
  10. I disagree with this. IMO, the more, the better. You already Need a good Performance to qualify, so I wouldn't call them tourists. Especially not in Badminton doubles, where only 16 doubles per discipline are allowed.
  11. Decathlete Kai Kazmirek is injured. In his place, Niklas Kaul will compete in Berlin.
  12. @Badminton: If the cut-off day were now, than Germany would be qualified in all disciplines. I don't think this will happen, but I'm sure it will be more than 0. @Triathlon: The Mixed relay will probably qualify, making it at least 4 athletes.
  13. If I'm not totally misinterpreting this, than the European Qualifier will take place in May 2020 in Racice (Czechia): https://www.canoeicf.com/canoe-sprint-olympic-qualifier/racice-2020
  14. Heptathlon is always dangerous, because there are several chances that something goes wrong. You could have three fouls in Long Jump or fall over the hurdles, for example. Of course Decathlon is even more unpredictable.
  15. Yeah, but at least in the Women's Competition it's highly likely that either Argentina or USA will win the Pan American Championships, and both are Pro League Team. With the men I suppose you have Canada as a second option to Argentina, but it isn't that likely.
  16. Hilbig is too young to have a realistic chance to qualify for Tokyo. He's only 16 right now and hasn't even competed with the heavier hammer. He's a candidate for Paris 2024.
  17. Teams in Equestrian will only consist of three athletes in Tokyo. It's highly annoying, especially in Eventing.
  18. About Fencing: I am slightly more optimistic, because this time there will be team events for all weapons. Men's sabre and Women's foil at the very least have a good chance to qualify, which would make already six competitors. And three more individual athletes seems possible, IMO. As I said, I really don't know about sailing (Sailing bores me, to be honest). I was just guessing based on the last few Olympics. Therefore I certainly won't contradict you. Yeah, I was probably a bit too optimistisc at Judo, but everything under 10 competitors would seriously disappoint me. And I avoided a specific number on purpose. But I think it will be less starters than in Rio, unless we qualify in a lot of team sports. The National Athletics and Swimming Federations will probably be much less generous, to begin with.
  19. Archery: 4 (Women's Team and one man. Though it isn't impossible that men's Team will qualify as well) Artistic Swimming: 0 Athletics: Maybe About 60 Badminton: 4 to 6 Baseball: 0 Basketball: Maaaaybe the men's team Beach Volleyball: 6 (to female Teams and one male) Boxing: No idea. 6 Maybe? Canoeing - Slalom: A starter in all Events. Makes 5. Canoeing - Sprint: Again, a boat in each category Cycling - BMX: 1 Cycling - Mountain Bike: 4 Cycling - Road: 7 or 8 Cycling - Track: 13 Diving: 8 to 10 Equestrian: 9 Fencing: 9 Field Hockey: Both teams Football: At least one Team, hopefully Golf: 4 Gymnastics - Artistic: 8 to 10 Gymnastics - Rhythmic: Women's Group and one individual athlete Gymnastics - Trampoline: 1, maybe Handball: Hopefully both Teams. But 1 Team is probably more realistic. Judo: 12-14 Karate: No idea Modern Pentathlon: 3-4 Rowing: I hope for all of the boats Rugby Sevens: The men's Team has a tiny chance Sailing: Most boats, because we Always do. I really don't know enough About sailing to be more precise Shooting: About 20 Skateboarding: Probably none Softball: No chance Sport Climbing: 2 or 3 Surfing: 0 Swimming: 20-30 Table Tennis: Both teams Taekwondo: 3 to 5 Tennis: 5 to 7 Triathlon: 4 to 6 Volleyball: Both Teams have a chance to qualify, though it won't be easy for either. Water Polo: 0 Weightlifting: 4 to 6 Wrestling: About 6
  20. German Team: https://www.leichtathletik.de/news/news/detail/dlv-nominiert-groesstes-team-seiner-geschichte-fuer-em-in-berlin/
  21. For our timezone it's from 2:00 am to about 5:00 pm. During 50km race Walking it already starts at 11:pm (the previous day). During the other race walking events and the Marathons it starts at midnight.
